No Reflection
Marilyn Manson Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Am I deaf or dead?
Is this constricting construction
Or just streets with rusty signs
Of something violent coming?
This'll hurt you worse than me
I'm weak, seven days, I'm weak
Bother counting one, two, three
I don't know which me that I love
Got no reflection
I don't know which me that I love
Got no reflection
Show myself how to make a noose
A gun's cliche, and a razor too
I'm not a death share vacation, vacant station
Made of scars and filled with my old wounds
This'll hurt you worse than me
I'm weak, seven days, I'm weak
Don't run from me I won't
Bother counting one, two, three
I don't know which me that I love
Got no reflection
I don't know which me that I love
Got no reflection
You, you don't even want to know what I'm gonna do to you
You don't even want to know what I'm gonna do to you
You don't even want to know what I'm gonna do to you
You don't even want to know what I'm gonna do to you
I don't know which me that I love
Got no reflection
I don't know which me that I love
Got no reflection
No Reflection
No Reflection
I've got no reflection
These lyrics from Marilyn Manson's song "No Reflection" explore themes of inner turmoil, confusion and the search for identity. The opening lines, "Crushing, cheating, changing, am I deaf or dead?" set the tone for the song as Manson sings about feeling constricted and unable to find his place in the world. He questions whether the violence he senses is real or imagined, and expresses an underlying sense of darkness and danger.
Manson's lyrics then turn inward as he reflects on his own weaknesses and suicidal thoughts, contemplating methods like nooses, guns and razors. He describes himself as a "death share vacation, vacant station, made of scars and filled with my old wounds," conveying a sense of deep pain and emotional instability. Manson then turns to address someone directly, warning them that whatever he plans to do will hurt them worse than it will hurt him.
The chorus includes the repeated line "I don't know which me that I love, got no reflection," highlighting Manson's search for identity and his confusion about who he truly is. The final lines of the song simply state, "I've got no reflection," suggesting a lack of self-awareness or self-acceptance.
Overall, "No Reflection" is a haunting and introspective exploration of Manson's inner demons, and his struggle to understand and accept himself.

Same here. I hope he comes through with all these allegations against him. When I first heard about it, I smelled bull shit from the start. It's a shame that his record label dropped him before he even had a chance to prove that this was all a bunch of crap. When I saw Rachel Evan Woods testify, I was thinking to myself that this woman is reacting like she was reading/trying out for a role in a movie!!!! There was no emotions when she was making all these statements against Manson. I think if she truly went through all the horrible things that she claimed, she would at least be tearing up and crying. When things of this nature happens to women or men, it's a disgusting, horrible thing. But I think that this #METOO movement has gone way to far. Now with that being said I don't think that this doesn't happen, I certainly know it does. But like I said Manson can be and is an easy scapegoat because of his music and art. But Marilyn Manson's music and art is just that and only that.
