Dangerous
(hed) Planet Earth Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Something's got me falling apart
Something's got me losing all hope in you
Something's got me under control
I'm dangerous, dangerous.

I know that you can feel me
Everything is not okay
I've got the solution
Let's fuck it all away.

My face on you
My mouth on you
My weight on you
My faith in you.

I'm drinking, and I'm falling apart
I'm drinking, and I'm losing all hope in you
I'm sinking, and I'm out of control
I'm dangerous, dangerous.

I know that you can feel me.
My face on you.

I know that you can feel me.
My face on you.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "(hed) Planet Earth's" song Dangerous poetically captures the emotions of a speaker who feels like their life is falling apart as something has them under control. The singer expresses a loss of hope in someone and is dangerous in their current state. The solution to their turmoil is suggested to be sexual in nature, as the singer asks to "fuck it all away." The singer places their trust in this person and expresses their dependency on them as they put their "faith" and "weight" on them. The repetition of the line "my face on you" further emphasizes their desire to connect and be close to this person.

The theme of the song suggests that the singer is dealing with some sort of addiction that's causing them to lose control. The lyrics indicate that the singer is drinking and their dependencies are slowly causing them to lose hope. Despite their growing dependency, the singer seems to urge that it's okay since they need the other person to feel secure. This song is an aggressive and somewhat desperate plea to their partner or an addiction, telling it that they need to be together despite how dangerous they can be.

Actually, quite few of these would actually affect the planet as a whole, though all of them threaten mankind.
It's a folly many people make, because when mankind is gone, there's no human to observe it, therefore we tend to see it as the world ending.

If all life in the oceans were to go extinct, the oxygen levels would decrease significantly. This has already happened. The main reason the scientists have had troubles cloning mammoths is because just 2 500 years ago, when the mammoths still lived, the oxygen levels were twice what they are today.
Therefore, it is pretty safe to assume that humans and other lifeforms can adapt to a different chemical makeup of the air we breathe.

Furthermore, it is more likely that other aquatic lifeforms would take over instead of the ones we know today. Deep-sea creatures would surface, smaller creatures would grow larger. This is called evolution.

The most likely scenario is that humans and possibly some animals would go extinct and nature would reclaim the planet. It would be in a different form than we know it today, but then again, the Earth and fauna we know today didn't exist 2 000 years ago either.

Its sad that us humans will inevitably end up destroying the planet we inhabited.

Pandemic should easily be number 1. The rate at which pathogens make our treatments ineffective is truly terrifying. And this poses a huge threat throughout the world, and not just developing countries like some of these entries.

Good point.  Bacteria and viruses evolve incredibly quickly.  Many bacteria have become 20 times more resistant to antibiotics than they were 20 years ago.
