Fallen
(hed) Planet Earth Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

It's my life
And I have always done exactly what I wanted
What else can a dog do.
It's not right
To take advantage of somebody who trusts you
Pendejo, yeah I'm talking to you.
It's not every day
You meet somebody who believes in you
Stands by you
Without making demands on you.
Just let me live
I just want to believe
Just let me do my thang
Come and get me.

You cannot break me down
Say it again
You cannot break me down
Please believe me
Time is running out
Say it again
Your time is running out
Please believe
Ask not for whom the bell tolls
All your walls are closing in
Please believe
This house of flesh and blood has fallen.

It's my life
And I'm a wild out
Until I bow out
Yes, I'm in this game
Until I foul out.
It's not right
You always worried about what everybody's thinking
You worried they might figure you out.
It's not every day
You go to work
Go to sleep
Get paid
In between
Get lifted
Get laid
Just let me live.
I just want to believe
Just let me do my thang
Come and get me.

You cannot break me down
Say it again
You cannot break me down
Please believe me
Time is running out
Say it again
Your time is running out
Please believe
Ask not for whom the bell tolls
All your walls are closing in
Please believe
This house of flesh and blood has fallen.
Fallen.

Push it all away.
Who the fuck are you?

You cannot break me down
Say it again
You cannot break me down
Please believe me
Time is running out
Say it again
Your time is running out
Please believe
Ask not for whom the bell tolls
All your walls are closing in
Please believe
This house of flesh and blood has fallen.
Fallen.

It's my life. x3

Overall Meaning

The (hed) Planet Earth song "Fallen" expresses a desire for independence and freedom, with the singer asserting their personal agency. They want to live a life on their own terms, free to do what they want and be who they want to be, without the scrutiny or judgment of others. The opening lines of the song declare that the singer has always done exactly what they wanted, because they are like a dog who follows their own instincts. However, they also recognize the importance of trust in relationships and admonish someone for taking advantage of that trust, addressing them as "pendejo" (Spanish for "idiot" or "asshole").

The song goes on to highlight the struggle of trying to be true to oneself while also dealing with societal pressures to conform. The singer contrasts their own carefree lifestyle with the worries and anxieties of those around them, implying that they are happier living according to their own values. The repetition of the phrase "just let me live" emphasizes this desire for freedom, with the singer asking to be left alone to do their own thing.

However, the song also acknowledges the potential consequences of this independence. The repeated line "you cannot break me down" suggests that the singer knows they will face challenges and obstacles, but they are determined to overcome them. The bridge of the song takes a darker turn, warning that "time is running out" and that "your walls are closing in." Despite this foreboding tone, the singer remains defiant, insisting that their house of flesh and blood (i.e. their physical body and identity) may have fallen, but they will not be broken.

Overall, "Fallen" is a song about individualism, freedom, and self-assertion in the face of societal pressures. It encourages listeners to be true to themselves and live the life they want, even if it means going against the expectations of others.

I feel the worst for those who didn't die; lying there, mortally injured, who knows how much pain. Breaks your heart.

V. V the difference is that the walrus are having those horrible deaths is bc of US not bc of an illness or plague. They're dying bc we destroyed their habitats

Roonil Waazlib

The endorphin thing is true and not just in walruses but in most animals. Its the same reaction humans have when they play the choking game, only in creatures with less complex brains, the reaction is much more drawn put and intense. When you think about it, humans actually suffer death more than many animals do

Dont believe these lies

I'd like to think a few thousand years from now these walrus' evolve into badass climbers

I really like that sentiment, it can also work in the way that if humans go extinct I'm sure there will be other species that'll live on and evolve to be better than humans

Mr. Saturn

Well, not these ones :(

Ella

stonedstrykerman785 honestly if humans went extinct the world would be such a cleaner and better place
