Not Ded Yet
(hed) Planet Earth Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You don't understand
I don't give a fuck
This is not a game
We fight to the death
I was lost
Now I'm born again
Don't bury me
I'm not ded yet

This life is not for you
I'm not so easily broken
This cross is mine all mine
I made my bed
I'll sleep in it

I never wanted this
But I chose it
Be careful what you wish for
I never wanted this
But I chose it
Remember me bitch?
I own it

You don't understand...

Remember me - I'm not over it
My hatred keeps me warm
I'll take you with me to the grave
My hatred keep me warm

I never wanted this
But I chose it
Be careful what you wish for

I never wanted this
But I chose it
Remember me bitch?
I own it

You don't understand
This is not a game

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "(hed) Planet Earth's" song "Not Ded Yet" seem to convey a message about being unbreakable and overcoming obstacles. The first verse of the song shows the fighting spirit of a person who refuses to give up and quit. The person in question was lost but has now been born again, and they do not want to be buried yet; they are not dead. The singer is ready to fight to the death, and this is not a game to them. They do not care what others think of them or their behavior. The second verse shows the singer's strong will and determination. The singer mentions that the current life is not for everyone and that they are not easily broken. The singer has chosen an arduous path and is now lying on the bed that they have made. They never wanted to be where they are now, but they have chosen the path that they are on, and they do not want people who have abandoned them to forget the role they played in their journey to this point. They should remember the singer, who now owns the path they have chosen.

The chorus "I never wanted this, but I chose it" shows the listener that sometimes we find ourselves in situations that we did not plan, but that does not mean we should give up. We should be careful what we wish for because we just might get it. The singer is not over the difficulties and obstacles that have befallen them. Their hatred for those who left them behind keeps them warm, and they are not ready to let go of that hatred yet. In essence, the song is about not being broken by life circumstances and having the strength to keep fighting even in the face of adversity. It's about owning the choices one makes in life and facing the consequences head-on.

Darly Hanna still a good-looking lady at 45.
Then again, I was better looking 17 years ago as well.
Humans have been harvesting on everything for survival for quite some time. Once in a while the trend gets reversed. One of these days there will be nobody to watch "What would Happen If Humans Went Extinct?" or would you like to be Vincent Price in a 60's movie?
The first disappointing scene in the movie was the Used Car Lot Scene where the average vehicle was 12 K to 19 K. No Vapers or Cell Phones - Great.
I've noticed that there are a lot less Birds in the sky than when I was a Kid in the 50's. Remember the Carrier Pigeon?
The good looking 'Exterminator Lady' attracts another Guy. Let's hope she is 'Bug Free'.
Love it - Seeing the Used Car Salesman getting 'Screwed'.
Don't 'Challenge' the VA - you just might wake up in some abandoned basement Lab - They will at least "Look the other way" besides removing body parts.
City Hall - "You're a translator, you translate English into English."

Wow! An excellent sci-fi horror . Slow burn at first but when the action begins, it explodes! Can't wait to watch part 2.

@PORRRIDGE_GUN

Not enough slow-burn, character arc or build-up in screenplays today. I'm only 15m in and I'm hooked.
