Hey! I honestly want to know, why for most of the Americans it is so important to carry a weapon...I live in Germany and the only way you are allowed to carry a gun is to have a license, only use it on a shooting range and store it at your home locked away safely...i never saw a real gun in my life and to be honest i would be very uncomfortable around someone wearing one (even police). And i really can not understand why some people deem them necassary. What bothers me is that America has such a high rate of deaths by guns and i understand why so many unprovoked killings by policemen happen, when they have to exspect everyone to potentially carry a gun around...i assume even the slightest movement would make me pull the trigger, just to be sure i stay alive...i mean i don't really know how it is over there, but everytime i think about travelling to the USA i get that "it is an everyone for themselves"-atmosphere/situation...i want none of that!

Hugh Jass its simple, freedom. We have to protect ourselves from citizens and government. You lived under royal rule for over 1000 years and and that’s what you are used too. We live under a citizens rule and very little government involvement in our daily lives. Also our founding fathers had mistrust of police and government and when politicians tell us we cannot own guns and they have armed guards and you can see the power struggle. We don’t want a king, queens and dictatorships Our founders told us not to trust them. Gun deaths are lumped together and most are self inflicted and gang related, felon vs felon who aren’t allowed to own a gun and that leaves a few thousand deaths out of 400 million people.
