Wise and 88 Camino remained in touch and collaborated frequently and previously worked together on the tracks "Anuva Wun" as a single by 88 Camino and "I Can Tell" from Wise's 2017 debut album Inglorious. Wise and Camino began teasing their collaborative project during the summer of 2017.
The duo introduced the name "88GLAM" on November 1, 2017, premiering their first music video "12" via Billboard which featured a cameo from The Weeknd. This was followed by the release of another music video for "Bali" featuring NAV and the debut of their self-titled mixtape 88GLAM on November 7, 2017.
On April 20, 2018, four new tracks were added to 88GLAM and re-released as 88GLAM RELOADED by XO Records and Republic Records. Introducing a new remix to the duo's platinum-certified record Bali with NAV now featuring 2 Chainz.
On November 8, 2018, 88GLAM released a new single titled "Lil Boat" from their upcoming album titled 88GLAM2.
On November 15, 2018, 88GLAM released 88GLAM2 under XO Records and Republic Records with new features from Gunna on their song titled "Racks", as well as another feature from NAV on "It's a Flex". Following its release, 88GLAM2 debuted at #8 on iTunes All-Genre Chart, then at #6 on the iTunes' Hip Hop Chart and also landed itself a top five spot in Spotify's Canada's New Music Friday playlist.
On August 26, 2022, 88GLAM released their final album, Close To Heaven Far From God. This would mark the end of 88GLAM, with Derek and Camino going separate ways.

This ain't very good but I'm high for real
I hit the wormwood, damn, and it kills
These niggas got me now, I'm poppin' off a deal
My aimin' just as stainless as my Rollie
I see beauty in my life and I feel lonely
When you talk too much, you barely get to know me
This ain't Bad Boy, try me and I will
Duffle bag, boy, I be in the field
More you beggin' me to stay, the more I feel
Broken mirrors make me look the way I feel
I'm so independent, no they can't clone me
These my brothers but no Zack and Cody
My OG told me, "Watch these niggas closely"
I can't see when I'm slumped off the codeine
So hysterical when I was off the pills
Rope around my neck like Emmett Till
Not surprised she want my chocolate in her milk
I know that it's toxic when it spills
My aimin' just as stainless as my Rollie
I see beauty in my life and I feel lonely
When you talk too much, you barely get to know me
I cannot be coolin' where my foes be
Takin' our time apart, we realize this and that (this and that)
I'm in my feelings, please forgive the way I act (the way I act)
I'm under pressure so the clip is in the mag
I made that bag when I ran up on the stage
I was cautious, takin' care of me when I had lost it
Same one that I cut off 'fore it's toxic
Fallin' for that girl but is she-?
Fallin' for that girl but is she honest?
Shit was sticky like there's honey in the trap
Share location and I put on her on the map
Yeah my neck is drippin', got a hunnid racks on
Another one, I had to had her pass on
In the club, word for word, she sing my last song
Went from texting to the one I'm throwin' my racks on
Now I'm paid to show up, used to be, "You can't come"
Different cities, ain't no telling 'til I land, ho
I know that it's toxic when it spills
This ain't very good but I'm high for real
I hit the wormwood, damn, and it kills
These niggas got me now, I'm poppin' off a deal
My aimin' just as stainless as my Rollie
I see beauty in my life and I feel lonely
When you talk too much, you barely get to know me
I cannot be coolin' while my foes be
The lyrics of 88GLAM's song "Analog Keys" outline the artist's perception of his life and relationships. The phrase "I know that it's toxic when it spills" could refer to the effects of drug use on his life, indicating that he knows that his drug use is harmful but continues to do so. He then acknowledges that he is high and has taken wormwood, a plant that is often used to make absinthe and has hallucinogenic properties. This line may suggest that he is using drugs to cope with his loneliness, as the following lines describe his feelings of isolation despite his wealth and fame. He also makes reference to being cautious and taking care of himself when he had "lost it," indicating that he may have struggled with mental health issues in the past. The lyrics also mention the artist's independent nature, as he states that he cannot be around his enemies and that he is not easily cloned.
The verse "More you beggin' me to stay, the more I feel/Broken mirrors make me look the way I feel" paints a vivid picture of the artist's emotional state. He seems to feel trapped by his fame and unable to escape his own darkness. The reference to broken mirrors implies that he feels he is facing an identity crisis as his outward appearance is reflecting his inner turmoil. Despite this, he acknowledges that his aim is "just as stainless as [his] Rollie," meaning his intentions are pure and he should not be underestimated.
Overall, "Analog Keys" provides insight into the artist's experiences with drugs, fame, and loneliness. The lyrics suggest that despite his success, he still struggles with feelings of isolation and may be using drugs to cope with these emotions.
