1) A.K. is one third of the rap trio Do or Die, from Chicaco, Illinois.
2) AK is a pop/R&B singer born and raised within the suburb of Maplewood, NJ. She began focusing on her singing career at the tender age of 12 after receiving the tragic news that her dad was diagnosed with cancer. Singing and listening to music countless hours of the day helped relieve her from the stress of her father's medical situation. During the last stages of his illness, AK serenaded her father with Mariah Carey's "Butterfly." It was his admiration towards her vocal talent that led her to continue the singing path as a way to help others get through their everyday struggles.
In the 8th grade, AK formed a group, Sweet, and wrote her first song, Just Look. Branching off before high school, she hit the studio to record her first original solo song, Dreamin, at the age of 14. A.K. finally realized how powerful her singing was while attending Columbia High School, alma Mata of Lauryn Hill. While at Columbia High School, she joined the MLK Gospel Choir and was chosen as the lead vocalist although she was the only white member. Despite being one of the few choir members who were not of color, there was never a racial barrier between A.K. and the rest of the choir. While there, she was accepted by everyone despite race, gender, age due to her vocal capability.
Her musical influences are Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and Aretha Franklin. People have already compared A.K. to a younger version of Christina Aguilera with her powerful voice. A.K. is determined to achieve any goal. She is always up for a challenge and proves that she has true determination. From putting in 12 hours a day in the studio, she proves that hard work pays off. In 2007, A.K. won first place in the R&B genre at "Faces in the Crowd" in New York City.
From singing her heart to the world to expressing herself through her dance moves, A.K. is a well-rounded performer with a true essence of Pop with a strong undeniable R&B sound.

Model Minority
A.K. Lyrics
(Yeah, ay, woo!)
I've been a menace like Dennis
A.K. but now they say Yannis
Donald I dare you to stop me
These days I've been super cocky
You're tryna tell me 'bout modesty?
You'd stunt so much harder if you were me
I got green like Statue of Liberty
My day ones I knew before puberty
My day ones I knew before money
My day ones I knew before women
A lot of my day ones are women
And all of my day ones stay winning
They've been here since the beginning
They finna be here 'til the ending
I treat you like Thanksgiving dishes, my family come at you until you are finished
I just love the smell of success, boy I swear to God it's so aromatic
So my hard work is like scented candles, A.K. you so romantic
In public she's charismatic, in private she's acrobatic
I study hard, I'm 22, I pull six figures and that's after taxes
My Snapchats, um, cinematic
My real life, oh, enigmatic
To rappers I'm problematic
'Cause I click-clack and it's automatic, I
Schedule every single second of the life I'm living I'm systematic
I'm middle class but I'm working hard
'Til I get to say I'm aristocratic, oh yah
They don't wanna see a brown boy fly
They don't wanna see a brown boy try
They don't wanna see a brown boy get it
They don't wanna see a brown boy winning
I'm writing my story, I'm writing my story, I'm model minority
I did well in school and I'm making that money, I'm model minority
I could have been trappin' or rappin', don't matter, I'm model minority
So why you ignoring me? Why you ignoring the model minority?
I use this rap as my outlet (Ya!)
These bars are my therapist
But I still go shop at the outlets
I'm smart with the dough when I'm buying shit
I just spent a whole lot of money out in Delhi
Same city, growing up, my parents couldn't spend a penny
Same city, growing up, they called my grandpa a (Nigga)
Then we made it in America, go figure
This world is mine for the taking
Everything you rap is basic
Tie your microphone cord around your neck when you rap
Maybe then your track will sound breath-taking
Amma said I could be anything
She said don't focus on petty things
I'm way too focused on pretty tings
And they way to focused on wedding rings
Life changes up when you getting rich
I stay in the bracket with all the females
These days I play the politics
I'll show you my taxes but not my emails, I...
Live in Manhattan but I rep the Yay A
I used to live right next to Oakland so I bring my A game
I know Punjabi girls fuck with me
I know hijabi girls fuck with me
I know the party girls fuck with me
And all the thotty girls fuck with me
Never lose girls when you chasing money
Always lose money when you chasing girls
So never get too caught up in nothing
Keep your head straight and eyes on your goals, oh yeah
They don't wanna see a brown boy fly
They don't wanna see a brown boy try
They don't wanna see a brown boy get it
They don't wanna see a brown boy winning
I'm writing my story, I'm writing my story, I'm model minority
I did well in school and I'm making that money, I'm model minority
I could have been trappin' or rappin', don't matter, I'm model minority
So why you ignoring me? Why you ignoring the model minority?
Aye brown boy, you wanna drive my taxi?
That's the only job you ain't in the back seat
Aye brown boy, you wanna start rapping?
Sit the fuck down, study mathematics
Aye brown boy, I hate to sound rude but
Haha, well, I'm not into dating brown dudes, uh
Aye brown boy I heard you tryna rap
Oh shit! For a brown kid you pretty good at that!
I've been a menace like Dennis
