They need solitary confinement!!! Some of these inmates are extremely violent predators that are a complete danger to any human being, including other inmates. They are predators and can't be housed with anyone. The people behind a desk don't understand that some people are just dangerous, brutal, and wicked.

when i was in a correctional facility we had good guards the ones that follow all protocols with respect to everyone and the ones that just made you feel worthless and more than one wanted to stab them. when you push a men against the wall and got nothing to lose something like this happens

inmates or detainees usually don't just randomly stab CO's. it's some kind of tense/bad history between the two.

It depends on the prison, some inmates look for the weak C/Os that they feel won't fight back. It's a pecking order for both the inmates and C/Os. Just depends on the prison. Some prisons, the inmates just want to do their time with no issues. While other prisons they get credit for assaulting C/Os

When you make prisons County Clubs, Then there no fear from the inmates who feel they run the facility. In other County there a fear of going to jail. Not the case here. Everyone has the right to a speedy trial. Waiting three years in jail for anything is unconstitutional. The court system should be fined by violating this right.

The entire prison and jail population needs to be changed into a psych ward. Being in jail, waiting in limbo would break the strongest of us.

I don’t understand why they can’t hire a contractor to improve infrastructure. I know why it’s hard to find mental health providers but they need to still push that and reintegration.

Remember Kalief Browders? Do you people remember Kalief Browders? The 16 yo innocent Niiji so called black teen falsely accused of stealing a backpack in 2013. He was brutally beaten mistreated by guards thugs. He was held in Rikers Island for almost 3 years without a trial. Then sent home. He eventually committed suicide bc of the inhumane treatment at Rikers Island.

No offense ok but you’re basically saying that if a C.O who has trouble with prisoners that don’t do as told when told and the C.O is at work trying to get a problem solved before it escalates where he/she may get in trouble for failure to do their job especially if prisoners don’t do as told it’s ok to have a prisoner stab or hurt people because you feel that prisoner is Harassed. Why is the prisoner in there in the 1st place? What if that prisoner rapes or hurt you and goes to jail? It’s ok for that prisoner to be in jail living the best life and do as he feels because a C.O tries to give orders that are not followed and then suffers with stab wounds by the same person who hurt or rape people!!! It doesn’t matter if you feel it’s harassment… the simple fact that they are in jail and should follow orders which is why they’re in there in the 1st place. No one knows the whole story but at the end of the day they are in jail and are suppose to do as told for the safety of the ones who work there.
