To the people complaining about the audience laughing at everything:
First of all, it is a COMEDY written by a bunch of college kids.
Second, the audience is full of their friends and classmates who are used to going to these student-organized productions late at night. It was always meant to be silly fun for their friends to enjoy.
I don’t think they ever imagined that tens of millions of people would watch this years later, scrutinizing it for not being ‘professional’ and for the audience of their friends making noise. Have some perspective and enjoy the fun high-energy of it all!

If you think about it, the reason Hermin is such a good student and loves to learn wizard stuff is because her parents are muggles. She had no idea any of this stuff existed so when she discovered there were flying brooms, she could make herself invisible, etc, she thought it was totally awesome! If I randomly got a letter from a bird telling me I could do magic, I would be just like Hermin trying to learn EVERYTHING about witchcraft!

I love how AVPM (and starkid in general) has become something that’s lowkey always referenced. Like how many times have I heard people say “hufflepuffs are excellent finders!” Or Just quoting random lines out of context or in completely different fandoms. To me it’s so iconic in the Harry Potter fandom
