Neville charted again, in 1989, when he collaborated with Linda Ronstadt on three consecutive duets: Don't Know Much, All My Life, and When Something Is Wrong with My Baby, the first two reached Number One on the Adult Contemporary charts. Neville has released more than 20 singles, including three Number Ones on the Adult Contemporary format, and a fourth on the R&B format.
His other hits have included Everybody Plays the Fool, his successful 1991 cover of the 1972 Main Ingredient song, that reached #8 on the Hot 100; Don't Take Away My Heaven, Hercules and Can't Stop My Heart From Loving You (The Rain Song). Neville's biggest solo successes have been on the Adult Contemporary chart, where "Don't Know Much," "All My Life," and "Everybody Plays the Fool" all reached Number One.
Aaron signed to SonyBMG's new Burgundy Records label in late 2005 and recorded an album of songs by Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, Sam Cooke and others for Bring It On Home...The Soul Classics, released on September 19, 2006. The album, produced by Stewart Levine, features collaborations between Neville and Chaka Khan, Mavis Staples, Chris Botti, David Sanborn, Art Neville, and others. The album's first single was a remake of The Impressions' 1963 classic It's All Right.
On October 27, 2006, Neville made a guest appearance on an episode of the soap opera The Young and the Restless. He sang Stand By Me" and Ain't No Sunshine, from his album, Bring It on Home … The Soul Classics. In 2008 he released Gold, which includes a double album of his hits.

I'm Waiting at the Station
Aaron Neville Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
But I can hear it comin' in
That's the train my baby's on
But now she's gonna bring her home
Got a letter yesterday
This is what she had to say
Meet me at the station a quarter to ten
Waitin' at the station happy as can be, now
Waitin' at the station for my baby
My lonely nights are over from this day on
Since my baby's coming back home
The train pulled in a few minutes late
But I didn't mind that little wait
That train is carrying medicine
For heartaches and pain
For this lonely man
Everybody's gettin' off one by one
Tellin' their friend where they've been
And what they've done
But where is my girl,
Everybody's off the train
She made a fool of me again
Waitin' at the station sad as can be, now
Waitin' at the station for my baby, now
My nights will still be lonely on and on
Since my baby didn't come home
Waitin' at the station sad as can be, now
Waitin' at the station for my baby
My nights will still be lonely, on and on
Since my baby didn't come home
Waitin' at the station sad as can be, now
Waitin' at the station for my baby
My nights will still be lonely, on and on
Since my baby didn't come home
"I'm Waiting at the Station" by Aaron Neville is a song about waiting for a train to arrive at the station, which carries his love interest. The song expresses the excitement and anticipation of the singer as he waits for his beloved, who sent him a letter saying she is coming back. The train's late arrival leads to a series of emotional highs and lows for the singer. The song is simple and straightforward, but it speaks to the emotions and experiences that are universal to many people.
The song's first verse describes the imminent arrival of the train that is bringing the singer's love interest back to him. The second verse talks of the letter he received from his beloved, and the instructions to meet her at the station. The chorus repeats the singer's happiness at waiting at the station and his eagerness to be with his love. The third verse describes the train's arrival and how every passenger disembarks except for the singer's lover. Finally, the last chorus emphasizes the singer's overwhelming sadness as his lover has not arrived, leaving him lonely.
