Their current lineup consists of Hoffmann, vocalist Mark Tornillo, guitarists Uwe Lulis and Philip Shouse, drummer Christopher Williams and bassist Martin Motnik. Before arriving at their current lineup, Accept has undergone numerous lineup changes, being Hoffmann the last remaining original member since its inception, and he is the only band member to appear on each album.
Accept played an important role in the development of speed and thrash metal, and they were part of the German heavy metal scene, which emerged in the early to mid-1980s. They have also been cited as an influence or inspiration by a number of acts, including Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Pantera, Testament, Anthrax, Guns N' Roses, Mötley Crüe, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Overkill, Exodus, and Annihilator, as well as fellow Germans such as Helloween, Blind Guardian, Doro, Sodom, Rage, and Grave Digger. Accept achieved its first commercial success with their fifth studio album Balls to the Wall (1983), which is the band's only album to be certified gold in the United States and Canada, and spawned their well-known hit "Balls to the Wall".
Accept have broken up and reformed multiple times. They first split up in 1989, several months after the release of Eat the Heat (which was their only album with Dirkschneider's initial replacement David Reece), but reformed in 1992 and released three more albums before disbanding again in 1997. After briefly reuniting in 2005, Accept announced their third reunion in 2009, with former T.T. Quick frontman Mark Tornillo replacing Dirkschneider (who declined to participate), and the band has recorded five albums with him: Blood of the Nations (2010), Stalingrad (2012), Blind Rage (2014), The Rise of Chaos (2017) and Too Mean to Die (2021); each of those albums renewed Accept's popularity in Germany and entered the top ten charts there.

Living For Tonite
Accept Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Where you are going, what you are doing
Looking just for fun
Love the twilight, love the dark
Rats, are all around
And I am waiting for a head
Take what you want
Guess it will be just alright
I'm living for tonite, tonite
Living for tonite, tonite
Working out my way
Find some ramp-rats, find some victims
Bad games all night long
We need to hid it just for fun
Games, we shouldn't play
And if you need some help, just wait
I'm going out into the dark
Guess it will be just alright
I'm living for tonite, tonite
Living for tonite, tonite
Gimme your body
Take what you want
Can't wait anymore
I'm living for tonite, living for tonite
Tonite, living for tonite
Tonite, living for tonite
Tonite, I'm living, living for tonite
The song LIVING FOR TONITE by Accept/DEAFFY's is about living in the moment, seeking thrill and excitement without much thought of consequences. The lyrics are full of youthful rebellion against any form of order or authority. The singer is always on the move, looking for something to do, and someone to do it with. The night is his favorite time of the day, probably because it provides him with the darkest atmosphere for his mischievous activities. The rats mentioned in the lyrics signify the seedy and unsafe places the singer finds his thrills, a place where he feels alive, and his adrenaline is always pumping.
The lyrics describe the singer seeking victims and ramp-rats (people like him) for company, and they engage in bad games all night long, games that they should not be playing. The singer has no regard for propriety or consequences, stating that he would take what he wants and take it now, consequences be darned. He lives for the moment, not worrying about tomorrow, only concerned with satisfying his immediate crave for fun.
In conclusion, the song is an anthem for the wild and reckless youth, the ones that do not worry about tomorrow but choose to live in the moment. Those who seek excitement in the dark corners of society, engaging in activities that are deemed inappropriate or unsafe.

I was 6 when heard this godlike band at first time. My father gave me his tapes he used to listen when he was 17. Now I am almost 26, and 20 years with Accept. I will make it a family tradition - my child wild hear Accept at six.
