Adagio's music is characterized by technical precision, dark, dense orchestration, complex lead work, and a driving rhythm section. On the group's 2006 release Dominate, they added harsh vocals to their sound. This entire album is still just as good as it was first launched.

I love the truly classical and romantic influences present in this band's music. Metal is a bit different from other popular/non-classical genres in that it really has a potential to evolve, not only technically, but also compositionally. And it really has. It's getting to the point where it could be legitimized as a serious art form. The thing that's lacking is overall training, but even then some people are catching up.
