Recently Adam and Joe have reached cult status again, this time through the medium of radio. Filling in for Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington, they began a 3 year stint at London-only radio station Xfm in 2003, which spawned a series of popular podcasts. Their move to BBC6 Music in 2007 reached larger audiences and their mix of shambolic presentation, pop-culture discussion and original comedy songs (pitted against each other in “Song Wars”) has earned their Saturday morning show a hardcore fanbase and, somewhat reluctantly, its own unexplainable catchphrase: “STEPHEN!”

The lyrics of Adam & Joe's song "All Night Garage" convey a tumultuous and complicated relationship. The song explores the ups and downs, the hurt and the desire, and ultimately the toxic nature of their connection. The lyrics depict a sense of frustration, confusion, and a constant fluctuation between breaking up and making up.
The first verse speaks of the pain and doubt caused by the other person's actions. Despite the hurt, there is a lingering soft spot and an inability to hate them. The chorus reflects the cycle of their relationship, breaking up when the sun goes down and making up when it rises. The second verse highlights the conflicting emotions and contradictions, with the singer missing and loving the other person but questioning the true nature of their feelings. The lyrics also touch upon infidelity, mistrust, and the aftermath of a problematic relationship.
Throughout the song, there is a sense of longing and longing for reassurance, mixed with a realization of how toxic the relationship has become. The singer struggles with the allure of the other person and the pain they cause, leading to a constant back and forth between fighting and reconciling. The lyrics express a rollercoaster of emotions and a desire for things to be different, but also a recognition that the toxicity is overwhelming and it may be time to let go.
