The 24-year-old singer took his first steps into then world of singer-song writing in 2010, with support slots for both William Fitzsimmons and Slow Club. Adam Barnes spent a summer recording a debut E.P entitled ‘Blisters’. What was to follow would project him to the heights of mountainous ranges in the Americas, the depths of lakes in the Alps and obscurities of Supermarkets in Wycombe. With an increasing reputation of allowing any space to become a feasible area for a performance, Adam Barnes endeavours to instil his charmingly presented folk songs to as many people as possible. Having since released his debut album 'The Land, The Sea & Everything Lost Beneath' and recent E.P ' One Day We'll Be Fine', he has accumulated over 3 million plays on Spotify worldwide to date.

With the natural ability to capture the emotional sentiment within a song, to twist and perceive lyrics to compliment his melodies, and give you the opportunity to fall in love with well written music, at such a young age still you wouldn’t be blamed for thinking this man is telling you stories beyond his years.

Let 'em ring.
Because in time, we'll play the chords that I prefer.
And let 'em dance, like young birds.
Give me more time, I will replace these things.
With diamonds and pearls, that shine and sing.
Like wedding rings.
And will I have, the time to say goodbye.
()
'Cause I am the darkness in the sky,
Sweeping winds that haunt the night.
The burning fire from deep inside,
Will come undone.
And give me another time to fight,
Another chance to say good bye.
I wasn't prepare to let the light, come undone.
()
Another painful day, my hands are red and torn.
From crawling across the floor, my knees are cracked and worn.
I sat outside, 'till the morning broke the sky.
Singin' painful melodies, in the storm.
()
'Cause I am the darkness in the sky,
Sweeping winds that haunt the night.
The burning fire from deep inside,
Will come undone.
And give me another time to fight,
Another chance to say good bye.
I wasn't prepare to let the light, come undone.
()
'Cause I am the darkness in the sky,
Sweeping winds that haunt the night.
The burning fire from deep inside,
Will come undone, come undone.
And give me another time to fight,
Another chance to say good bye.
I wasn't prepare to let the light, come undone, come undone.
Come undoooone, oh no.
Come undoooone, oh no.

All of the stars are singin' notes I've never heard.
The swallow and finch will leave the nest, and merch(?).
And let 'em dance, like young birds.
"Come Undone" by Adam Barnes is a reflective song that talks about the struggles and pain that one experiences in life. The lyrics "All of the stars are singin' notes I've never heard, Let 'em ring. Because in time, we'll play the chords that I prefer." imply that life is full of surprises and challenges, but eventually, things will work out. The singer hopes for more time to replace things in their life with the ones that shine and sing, like wedding rings. The use of the metaphor of "darkness in the sky" and "sweeping winds that haunt the night" suggests that the singer is feeling lost and hopeless but is still fighting to make things right. The repetition of the phrase "Come undone" in the chorus indicates a plea for things not to fall apart, for the singer to have enough time to fight and say goodbye.
The second stanza describes the physical toll that life's struggles can take on a person, with a vivid image of torn hands and cracked knees. The singer sings painful melodies in the stormy night, trying to find a way out of their pain. The use of bird imagery in the line "let 'em dance like young birds" suggests that the singer wishes for a carefree life, escaping from the current situation.
Overall, the song portrays the singer's determination to fight against their struggles and not let the light in them come undone.
