Adam West Lyrics

and i say, i like you where you are
and i like this sunny day
and like the way we play
and i like it when you say
i've gotta reach on down inside my pocket
whoah, what's inside my head
whoah, down inside my soul
whaoh, but my heart is gold
hey, i'm always close to danger
and i say, i wear it like a coat
and you like the way i gloat
everytime i read your note
and you like it when the waves caress you
knock you down as they undress you
The lyrics to Adam West's song "Pocket" express the joy and excitement of a budding romance. The opening line, "Hey, I like this spark between us," sets the tone for the entire verse. The singer is expressing how much they enjoy the connection they feel with their partner. The following lines indicate that the singer appreciates their partner just the way they are, and that they appreciate the sunshine and the way they play together. The line "I've gotta reach on down inside my pocket" may be interpreted as the singer expressing a desire to reveal their innermost feelings to their partner.
In the chorus, the singer sings about what's inside their head and soul, expressing that they have feelings they've never expressed before. Through the repetition of "whoah," the singer emphasizes the intensity of these feelings. Ultimately, the chorus declares that their heart is "gold," suggesting that the singer loves their partner deeply.
In the second verse, the singer acknowledges that they often find themselves in risky situations, but they "wear it like a coat." This could be interpreted as an indication that the singer is comfortable with living on the edge and enjoys taking risks. The final lines of the verse express how much the singer enjoys receiving notes from their partner and how much they appreciate the way the waves caress them.
