Adam West was formed in the early 1990s, when singer Jake Starr decided to form a 60s garage band. Adam West started gigging around Washington, D.C. and soon built up a local following. Jake immediately started his own label, Fandango Records, and started recording and releasing Adam West material. Their first single in 1993 "I Get a Sensation" was a rave-up garage slice and got Adam West international attention. As of the beginning of 2006, Adam West has released circa 30 7-inch singles, one 10-inch EP, eight CDs, and has made over 35 high-profile appearances on various compilation CDs.

Sultry Motherfucker
Adam West Lyrics

I'm right here when you're sleeping alone
You can't hear what I'm trying to say
You're gonna fall for me anyway
I'm right there when you walk down the street
I'm on the face of every guy you meet
Got made when I was twenty-one
You can't hear what I'm trying to say
You're gonna fall for me anyway
Hot child in the city tonight
I'm looking good and I'm loving right
You've had it rough
And I'm hanging tough
I've got some things I need to show
And satisfied?
I'll be your guide
I've got the means to make you go
I'm right there when you walk down the street
I'm on the face of every guy you meet
You can't hear what I'm trying to say
You're gonna fall for me anyway
I'm right there when you pick up the phone
I'm right here when you're sleeping alone
You can't hear what I'm trying to say
But I'm a sultry motherfucker and I'm coming your way
The lyrics of Adam West's song, "Sultry Motherfucker" seem to be about a confident and persistent seducer who doesn't take no for an answer. He claims to be everywhere the woman he desires goes, "right there" when she picks up the phone, and "right here" when she's sleeping alone. He is aware that she cannot hear what he's trying to say or perhaps doesn't want to hear it, but he's convinced that she is going to fall for him anyway. He boasts of being young, attractive, and sexually skilled and promises to fulfill her desires. He tells her that he can show her a good time, be her guide, and make her go. The last line, "but I'm a sultry motherfucker and I'm coming your way" is a bold statement of his sexual prowess and unapologetic confidence.
The lyrics of this song seem to glorify and reinforce a problematic theme in pop culture, that of aggressive male seduction and coercion of women. The singer seems to view the woman as a prize to be won and an object to satisfy his own desire. However, some might argue that the lyrics are meant to be tongue-in-cheek and a satire of the same trope. Regardless of the interpretation, the song's hook is catchy, and its driving rock beat is infectious.
