As part of this project, called the India Soundpad Project, the band toured the UK playing 6 shows in 5 cities, including opening the famous Great Escape Festival in Brighton.
In March 2009 Advaita launched their first album on EMI records titled 'Grounded in Space' which further catapulted the status of the band. Recorded at the famed Yash Raj Studios, Mumbai, the album spent 4 weeks at number one on the International charts at the Music World stores for all of Delhi.
The year 2010 saw Advaita being featured on the Indian leg of the popular MTV shows ‘MTV Coke Studio’ and ‘MTV Unplugged’. Advaita's video, 'Rasiya', was also featured on MTV Roots.
The band (Feb2012) launched their much awaited second album ‘The Silent Sea’ on EMI records. The second album was also recorded at Yash Raj studios in Mumbai and mixed by Shantanu Hudlikar.

Hamsadhwani
Advaita Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Am I just a state of mind
Fighting the demons hiding in my head
And dreaming dreams of angels
And I pray, praying for love
Sailing away upon the sea of wonder
Learning to fly with broken wings
Skies of my illusions
And I wait, waiting for love
The song "Hamsadhwani" by Indian fusion band Advaita is a poignant track that delves into the complexities of human emotions. The lyrics are reflective of the singer's inner turmoil and confusion, as they try to make sense of their feelings. The opening lines, "Sometimes I don't know why I feel this way, am I just a state of mind?" encapsulate the confusion that is often felt when one is unsure of whether their emotions are valid or not.
The song then goes on to highlight the struggle of battling inner demons, "Fighting the demons hiding in my head, and dreaming dreams of angels." This could be interpreted as a metaphor for the constant battle between negative and positive thoughts that one faces on a daily basis. The lyrics then take a spiritual turn as the singer prays for love, "And I pray, praying for love, sailing away upon the sea of wonder."
The latter half of the song speaks of a journey of self-discovery, as the singer learns to navigate through the challenges of life, "Learning to fly with broken wings, skies of my illusions." The song ends with a sense of hope as the singer waits for love, "And I wait, waiting for love."
Overall, the song delves into the complicated emotions that one experiences in life, highlighting the struggle to find purpose, meaning, and love.
