Until I started working at a video club and fell in love with cinema. My history includes both modern and ancient, Arab and foreign.

The idea of telling the story itself fascinated me. The bag of my life's history is filled with experiences that have benefited me.

كل اللى شوفته فى طفولتى وفي شارعي حتة مني درست سىما قولت اعبر عنھم بس بفنى
Everything I witnessed in my childhood and in my neighborhood, a part of me. I studied cinema, and I said I would express them through art.

افلامى فى المعھد كسبت فى مصر وبره مصر قولت الحمد اﷲ . اخىرا دوقت نصر
My films in college gained recognition in Egypt and abroad. I said, 'Thank God! Finally, I tasted victory.'

وفعﻼ او لما اتخرجت روحت اخرج اول فيلم ليا اصغر مخرج فى مصر وفى كل الدول العربية اﷲ
And indeed, when I graduated, I went on to direct my first film. The youngest director in Egypt and in all Arab countries. Thank God!

دا شكل الدنيا بتضحك ليا ودعت الميكروباس وجبت لنفسي عربية
This is how the world mocks me. I said goodbye to the microbus and got myself a car.

روحت اشتركت فى جولز وسيبت انا نادى الطلبية ومن 3 صحاب بقوا ستين سبعين ومية
I joined gyms and left behind my lazy lifestyle. Out of three friends, there turned out to be sixty, seventy, or even a hundred.

اضرب كمان فى مية واضرب . كمان في مية آمنت للدنيا وسلمت وقولت مية مية
I faced setbacks over and over again, but I kept fighting. I believed in the world and surrendered, saying '100%'.

ونسيت ان الدنىا دار ابتلاء ودي بلية خدت الخازوء الصح وخوازيء الدنيا ھيه مغرية
I forgot that this world is a place of tribulations and a test. I accepted the true path, but the temptations of the world are enticing.

نزل فيلمى فشل محدش شافه اخدت صدمه . اديتنى الدنيا ظھرا وشلوت وبوكس ولطمة
My film was released and failed, nobody watched it. It was a shock to me. The world gave me disappointment, ridicule, and a blow.

مولد واتفض محدش جوه قلبه رحمة مش ممكن تعرف مين صحبك بجد اﻻ فى المحنة
A revolution within me took place. Nobody has mercy in their hearts. You can't know who your true friends are except in times of hardship.

رجعت حياتى اسوأ م اﻻول . بعت العربية والميكروباس اجرته زادت شوية
My life went back to being worse than before. I sold the car, and the microbus rent increased a little.

بمرور الوقت فلوسي طارت طارت وبقيت مديون . ما بقيتش عارف ايه تصنيفى عاقل او مجنون
As time passed, my money flew away, and I became indebted. I couldn't even determine if I was sane or insane anymore.

وفي يوم تعبت سخنت عرقت فى السرير نمت قالى الدكتور اوعاك يا ابني تزعل
And one day, tired and sweaty, I laid down on the bed and fell asleep. The doctor said to me, 'Don't be upset, my son.'

قولتله زعلت . ما انا اصلي وقعت فى كدابين الزفة ومنھم اتعلمت
I told him, 'I am upset. I fell for the lies of the hypocrites, and I learned from them.'

في ناس تحبك وانت عالى بس تسيبك لو وقعت اتأثر الدكتور ساب الشنطة ومسح عنيه بص في عنيا تايه مش عارف ھيرد بايه
There are people who love you when you're successful, but if you fall, they abandon you. The doctor was affected, he left the briefcase and wiped his eyes, looking into my lost eyes, not knowing how to respond.

طبب عليا وقالى فيه مثل قالوه زمان صحبك بجد اللى يفديك بنفسه فى الطوفان
He examined me and said, 'There is a saying from the past: A true friend is the one who sacrifices themselves for you in times of crisis.'
