Come One Come All
All Time Low Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Come one, come all you're just in time
To witness my first breakdown
'Cause there's a mile gone for every minute passed
When I'm stuck in this town

I've got a bone to pick with you, Mr. DJ
The traffic in this town is just as bad as it is in L.A.
So go on and lock me up
You better throw away that key
Before I find out where you broadcast from
Because your playlist is killing me

I'll change that station
Light it up like the 4th of July
It's me, I'm caller fifteen
Time to play my last request

Come one, come all, you're just in time
To witness my first breakdown
'Cause there's a mile gone for every minute passed
When I'm wasting space in this town
Don't call the doctors, I don't need no medication
I just need one more vacation and make it last

Hear me out please, judge and jury
I'm an innocent man
And it would be such a terrible injustice
To put me away without thinking about

All the terrible mistakes
That goddamn radio jockey makes
I swear, he's out to get me
Oh, I swear he's out to get me

I'll change that station
Light it up like the 4th of July
It's me, I'm caller fifteen
But it's too late for explanations
This broadcast will be your last

Come one, come all, you're just in time
To witness my first breakdown
'Cause there's a mile gone for every minute passed
When I'm wasting space in this town
Don't call the doctors, I don't need no medication
I just need one more vacation and make it last

Hear me out please, judge and jury
And I swear he's out to get me
Oh, I swear he's out to get me

Go on and lock me up
You better throw away that key
And I swear he's out to get me
Oh, I swear he's out to get me

I've got a bone to pick with you, Mr. DJ
You really oughta lock me up
Because your playlist is killing me

Come one, come all, you're just in time
To witness my first breakdown
'Cause there's a mile gone for every minute passed
When I'm wasting space in this town

Don't call the doctors, I don't need no medication
I just need one more vacation and make it last

Overall Meaning

The song "Come One Come All" by All Time Low is a song that explores the singer's frustration and desire to escape from living in their hometown. The lyrics express the singer's discontent with the monotony of living in the town, where every day feels the same, and the only escape is through the radio. The opening line, "Come one, come all you're just in time to witness my first breakdown," sets the tone for the song and signals that the singer is at their breaking point. The following line, "Cause there's a mile gone for every minute passed when I'm stuck in this town," describes the mundane and slow pace of life in their hometown.

The song goes on to blame the local DJ for playing songs that only exacerbate the singer's restlessness. They feel that the DJ is mocking them with their playlist, and they can't take it anymore. The chorus of the song, "Come one, come all, you're just in time to witness my first breakdown," repeats throughout the lyrics to emphasize the singer's desperate plea for attention and release from their frustration.

In the second verse, the singer tries to plead their case to the "judge and jury," telling them that they are "an innocent man" and that the DJ is "out to get them." The song's bridge follows to implore the DJ to change the station, promising to "light it up like the 4th of July" if they do. But the singer's pleas fall on deaf ears, and they are forced to accept their fate and the fact that they may never escape their hometown.

Overall, "Come One Come All" is a song that captures the feeling of being trapped and the need for escape, as well as the frustration of feeling powerless and unheard.

I love this song so much and it breaks my heart every time Alex says something bad about it. :(

Mitchel 7346

He hates this song because the label pressured him to write this

xotbirdox

@Mitchel 7346 It wasn't the label, it was the producer but I know. I just wish ATL would realise that they literally can't make a bad song, even if they didn't want to write it. I wish they could reconcile with this song but I understand why they feel the way that they do as well. I just wish it could get more love. ❤️

i love this song
i mean, i really do love this song and that's because.. well, I just watched the video where Alex says he doesn't like it... yeah, the lyrics are kinda strange or maybe stupid, but that's GREAT, that's beautiful. It proves that Alex isn't perfect, like I picture him -Τhe Perfect Man. A reminder that he's a person who sometimes writes crappy songs, fans love these songs though. A person who makes mistakes, a human. In this way, the distance between me (the fan) and him (the singer) is less than it seems.
I don't know why I'm saying all of these...

Samantha Loggerwell

The lyrics are about his hate for mainstream music. It's not like there music today about love and one night stands and stuff
