I am back to sing this song some more praise. I love this song so much it's ridiculous. It's the best writing for a song I've ever heard. The whole song is talking about how how the singer loves his friends and how they are the best thing in his life and its just all about his appreciation of those he calls his friends and just having the greatest time with them. Then in the bridge, he says that in that group of friends, there's just this one special person that he loves with all his heart. ( Which by the way at 1.45 when he says 'Heartbeat racing' and the drums beating to the beat of an actual heart is absolutely brilliant.) And how out of everyone of his friends he cares and thinks about this love of his life all the time but sadly that person doesn't share the same feelings for him, told to us in the final chorus. And holy shit the final chorus is really something. 'I would have married you in vegas' is him singing about his love for this person while being a whole set of new lyrics for the tune of the chorus while the original chorus plays along with it. But the difference with this song in particular about that ( cause its nothing new ) compared to Damned if i do ya or Break your little heart or The reckless and the brave IS THAT THE ORIGINAL CHORUS IS PLAYED BEHIND THE NEW ONE. It signifies that his feelings for this person is even louder than his feelings for his friends which is FRIGGIN BRILLIANT even after spelling it out for us in the bridge. I've been through a situation exactly like the person in this song and it felt so great to have a song I can relate to wholeheartedly. I might be reading wayyy too into it but I'd like to believe Alex is the greatest song writer in the universe so lol. This is definitely my most favorite song of theirs and All Time Low seriously is way too amazing for me to handle.

I think the order of what comes first implies that above all his friends he thinks of that one person. I forgot when but in an interview or right before playing vegas live, Alex said he really wanted to marry someone in vegas but soon realised it was a bad idea over the years. Bout the heartbeat, I guess its more of the pace than the sound. like a fast heartbeat pace or smth.
Yep, music can be taken any way depending on who listens to it and thats the magic of it so to each his own.
