1. Ambrosia was a California, United States band formed by David Pack (guitars, vocals), Christopher North (keyboards), Burleigh Drummond (drums) and Joe Puerta (bass, vocals). On their self-titled LP in 1974, they blended quirky progressive rock with lush harmonies and scored hits with the offbeat song Nice, Nice, Very Nice and the ballad Holdin' on to Yesterday. Their subsequent albums focussed more and more on the pop ballads and less and less on the progressive elements, and while they had some success with singles, they called it quits after 1982's Road Island. Ambrosia re-formed in the late 90s and continue to tour and enterain their fans. A live CD Live at the Galaxy was released in 2002, and they are currently recording a new studio album that long time fans are hoping will be released in 2009.
2. Ambrosia was a Latvian hardcore punk band formed in Valmiera, Latvia in 2005.
The band has toured around Latvia and Estonia and became one of the best-known newcomers to the Latvian hardcore scene. Their music is also included on music compilation Latvian Hardcore Punk Volume 5.
Ambrosia split up in September 2011 and played one-off reunion show in July 2014.

Rūdolfs Rūtenbergs - guitars;
Uldis Andersons - bass;
Miks Riekstiņš (IndyGo) - drums.
Former members:

3. Ambrosia was formed in summer 2008 by Adnan Čikotić and Hana Hadžajlić, who wanted to play brutal death metal. Soon Adnan Muratović and Hana's brother joined the band. After few rehearsals Hana's brother left the band and we had to seek for another drummer. In a few months the band had changed few drummers who played on the concerts. Later Edin Čehović joined as a second guitar player, and Boris Uložnik replaced Hana.

Time Waits for No One
Ambrosia Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
And make sure that your certain
It's not the wrong day
Punctual people are lost in their plight
To become unprecedented when they arrive
Why am I searching and when will I know?
Are the years that I've waited with nothing to show?
I'm ready to listen I'm ready to win
Time waits for no-one
Time waits for no-one no-one,no-one
There's time to conceive in and time to expire
Though the time 'twixt the two tells the tale that transpires so why must we continually disturb the universe
With decisions and revisions which a minute will reverse
So people don't worry 'bout where you've gone wrong cause you know if you hurry it takes twice as long
Relax and forget about what's to be done, it's time to have fun
Time waits for no-one
Time waits for no-one
It really doesn't matter much to me
I know the best times are timeless, you'll see...
The lyrics of Ambrosia's song "Time Waits for No One" are a commentary on the fast-paced, time-obsessed nature of modern society. The song's narrator urges listeners to hurry up and be on their way, but to make sure that they're certain they're not on the wrong path. The idea of punctuality is scrutinized, and the singer suggests that those who are always on time may be lost in their plight to become unprecedented when they arrive. The lyrics ask questions about the meaning of life and the passing of time, questioning whether the years that we've waited with nothing to show are worth it. The singer is ready to listen and ready to win, but can't wait much longer before they begin.
The lyrics continue to explore the concept of time and its importance. The idea of time between conception and expiration is mentioned, and the lyrics suggest that the time between the two tells the tale that transpires. The singer questions why humans feel the need to constantly disturb the universe with decisions and revisions, which a minute can quickly reverse. The song reminds people not to worry too much about where they've gone wrong because hurrying takes twice as long. It's time to relax and forget about what's to be done and instead focus on having fun.
Overall, Ambrosia's "Time Waits for No One" is a poignant reminder to slow down and enjoy life, rather than rushing through it in a never-ending quest for efficiency and productivity.

Ambrosia never got enough credit. Outstanding vocals and instrumentals. Time Waits for No One is one of my favorites.

This is a timeless work of art! Musically, philosophically, and poetically! I have listened to it constantly, since it was released to the public. Not one word, musical phrase, or realization has been debunked and left in the trash can of time! This album speaks the truth of the human condition...It is right there with "A Trick Of The Tail" (Genesis), "Yessongs" (Yes), "Two For The Show" (Kansas), "Romantic Warrior" (Return To Forever), "Dregs Of The Earth" (Dixie Dregs), and "Exit Stage Left" (Rush).... All of which I listen to everyday! If these are my old habits? May they never die hard. May they live on long after I am "Them Bones" (Alice-n-Chains)...And the "Burden In My Hand" (Soundgarden) is no longer a memory! So... get on with the "human condition"..."Free Ride" (Edgar Winter), because we all know... All we want is a "Slow Ride" (Foghat)! A "Whole Lotta' Rosie" (AC/DC)...and in the end, to "Let It Be" (The Beatles).

This album is the apex of the genre of pop/rock/progressive music all bunched up in one place. The music, songwriting, engineering, creativity, etc ect are all here and never to be repeated again. I consider this the top of the top albums ever. Not one dud on this record......the only complaint is that we didn't capture MORE of this magical moment in time.

I rediscovered this Album and it was genius, you can tell Allen Parsons work in a heartbeat

I remember the first time I saw Ambrosia - it was in the middle of a heavy snow storm in Buffalo, NY. The place was the old Century Theater on Main Street. The concert was amazing, and afterwards, as I waited with my friends for our ride, Ambrosia exits from a side door and enters their tour bus. We were standing there getting buried in snow. Then a few minutes later, one of them opened the door of the bus, took mercy on us and invited us inside. It was one of the big thrills of my youth to meet a band like Ambrosia. I've never forgotten that event. They're a classy bunch of guys.
