Amir Darabi's music quest started when he was 3 years old with his first pi… Read Full Bio ↴Amir Darabi's music quest started when he was 3 years old with his first piano teacher, his mother, Leila Hafezieh who nurtured his early interest in music. At the age of 4 he started playing the xylophone, when he was 6 he started playing the violin both at Pars Music Institute. He had his first musical performance when he was 4. As for piano, he took continuous classes with Mr. Gagik Babayan on classical piano. He achieved the first place in classical piano in the Iranian Youth Festival twice, at the age of 5 and 10.

His primal passion for music was not limited to classical music; he took pleasure out of different genres including Jazz, Rock and blues on the latter he improvised as a child.

In addition to jazz, other music styles especially Armenian and Persian folk have been sources of appreciation for Amir.
