I desire to be in the midst of a situation that's a little out of control, where things aren't tame and predictable.

I want to be where there's danger and excitement, where things aren't necessarily safe and secure.

Jesus gave His life so that I could be forgiven of my sins, even though my heart is far from perfect.

That's why I wanna be where the wild things are
I want to be among people who are broken and lost, like I was before I found Jesus. I want to share the Gospel with them and show them the love of Christ.

Welcome to the church in the wild
This is a reference to a group of people who haven't been to church in a while, if ever. It's also a metaphorical representation of living amongst people who aren't necessarily 'safe' or 'tame'.

I live with dudes haven't been to church in a while
I'm surrounded by people who don't know much about Jesus or the Bible. This is intentional, because I want to be an example of Christ to them.

I've chosen this lifestyle, you ever met my friends?
I've deliberately chosen to live in this way and be friends with people who aren't necessarily 'good' or 'upstanding' in society's eyes. This is a choice I've made because I want to show them the love of Christ and be an example of what it means to live a life of faith.

Porn stars, dope dealers, they like, 'Why you chill with them'?
The people I hang out with come from different backgrounds and lifestyles. Some are involved in illegal or immoral activities, such as pornography or drug dealing, and they often wonder why I would choose to be friends with them.

I thought you was a Christian? Yeah I'm on that team
People sometimes question my faith because of the people I associate with. But being a Christian is about showing love and forgiveness to everyone, not just those who are 'good' or 'moral'.

But I'm with them cause my life's the only Bible that they've ever seen
I want to be an example of Christ's love to others, especially those who haven't grown up in a church environment. I want to show them what it means to live a life of faith.

Some wanna be an earshot from the church bell
Some people are content to hear about Jesus and Christianity from a distance, but I want to be actively involved in sharing the Gospel with others.

I wanna win souls, make gunshots in the worst hell
I want to reach people who are lost and hurting, even if it means going to uncomfortable or dangerous places. I want to be a witness to the power of Christ's love and redemption.

Telling 'em Christ became a curse for they sin with my words and my works
I want to show others that Jesus died for their sins, that they can be forgiven and set free from the guilt and shame of their past. I want to demonstrate the reality of the Gospel through my words and actions.

They won't come in? I'm bringing church to them
Some people are hesitant or resistant to the idea of going to church or hearing about Christianity. In these cases, I want to bring the gospel message to them, to show them what it means to live a life of faith in tangible ways.

They say, 'You acting cray, that ain't no place to raise your kids'
Some people question the wisdom of living in a community of people who aren't 'safe' or 'moral', especially when it comes to raising children. But I believe that being a witness to Christ's love and forgiveness is more important than sheltering my children from people who are different or broken.

But um, if we ain't living it who else gon' show em
If Christians aren't willing to go and be among the lost and hurting, who will? We're called to be ambassadors of Christ, to share His love and message with the world around us.

What a family supposed to look like instead of them broken homes
I want to be an example of what a family that follows Jesus looks like, especially to those who come from broken homes or dysfunctional families. I want to demonstrate the love and grace of Christ to others, even if it means being a counter-cultural example.

Gotta be living stones around where they getting stoned
I want to be a light in the darkness, to be a living example of Christ's love and forgiveness to those who are struggling with addiction or other issues. I want to show them that there is hope and redemption in Jesus.

Live and know Him, die to make Him known 'til He take us home, let's go
I want to live out my faith in a tangible way, to be a witness to Christ's love and forgiveness in everything I do. I want to share the Gospel with others, even if it means putting my own safety or comfort at risk. I want to live my life in such a way that others are drawn to Jesus and the hope that He brings.

If you catch me in a bar where the wild things are
I'm not afraid to go to places or be with people who aren't necessarily 'safe' or 'moral'. I want to show Christ's love to everyone, regardless of their background or lifestyle.

With my pastor and an entourage who loves God
I'm not alone in my desire to reach out to the lost and hurting. I have a community of people who share my passion for sharing the Gospel and living out our faith in tangible ways.

Please don't think that it's odd, we kick it 'round broken hearts
Some people may be skeptical or critical of our lifestyle or mission, but we're not doing this to be 'cool' or 'edgy'. We genuinely care about the people we're reaching out to and want to be a light in the darkness for them.

Fishing for men, surrounded by sin but ain't taking part
We're not trying to fit in with the world or be like everyone else. We're actively trying to reach out to those who are lost and need to hear the message of the Gospel.

I talk about Jesus, all the Christians love me
Some Christians are quick to applaud our efforts to reach out to the lost, but may not be willing to do so themselves. It's important to remember that living out our faith isn't about gaining the approval of others, but about demonstrating the love of Christ to all people.

I walk like Jesus now they wanna judge me, ain't it funny?
Some people may be critical of our lifestyle or mission, even though we're trying to follow the example of Christ Himself. It's ironic that people would judge us for trying to be like Jesus, but it's a reminder that living out our faith can be difficult and challenging.

I'm ducking stones thrown from the Pharisees
Just like Jesus faced opposition and criticism from the religious leaders of His day, we may face hostility or judgment from those who claim to be religious or 'moral' themselves.

Gospel of Peace up on my feet like a pair of cleats
I'm not ashamed of the message of the Gospel, even if it's not always popular or well-received. It's something that drives me and motivates me to share the hope and love of Christ with others.

Walking with the Paraclete, that's Greek for The Spirit
I'm not alone in my efforts to share the Gospel and be a witness for Christ. The Holy Spirit is with me, guiding and directing me every step of the way.

They say the wild things'll eat you up
Some people may warn us that being among the lost and hurting can be dangerous or harmful. But we trust in God's protection and guidance, knowing that we're called to be witnesses for Christ even in difficult or uncomfortable situations.

Who shall I fear when God is walking with me
Even when we face opposition or danger, we can trust that God is with us and watching over us. We don't need to fear any person or circumstance, because our faith is in Him.

If I die that's a win, that's the seed of the church plus I get to be with Him
Even if our efforts to share the Gospel are met with resistance or danger, we can trust that God can use even the most difficult or tragic circumstances for His glory. And in the end, we get to be with Him forever.

And we so undefeated like Hanes made our sneakers
Our faith in Christ makes us strong and resilient, able to withstand even the toughest challenges or opposition. We can trust that God will always be with us, no matter what we face.

I had beef with Jesus and my sin it got deleted
Just like everyone else, I've struggled with sin and fallen short of God's standards. But through Christ's sacrifice on the cross, I've been forgiven and set free from the guilt and shame of my past.

So I gotta go and speak it to those who really need it
Because of what Christ has done for me, I feel compelled to share His love and message with others, especially those who are hurting or lost.

Let the Gospel off the leash, go and be where the beasts at
We can't keep the message of the Gospel contained or constrained. We need to be bold and courageous in sharing it with others, even if it means going to uncomfortable or dangerous places.
