The way this track was used in Baraka, during which images of the busy subway, the chicken factory, and the tech assembly line were all juxtaposed, is something that will remain burned in my mind until the day I die.

One of the ten best films I ever saw. Caught at a Manhattan film festival; people who’d seen it when it first came out said, “You have to see this.” So I did. The chicks juxtaposed with changing traffic lights down Park Avenue were brilliant and mind-boggling—like the whole movie. After seeing the world’s standards, priorities and rituals, how alike, how unique , they are, I left the theater thinking of how HUMAN we all are. I’ll never, ever forgot that lesson: you think you’re so special? You are. Are you more special than anyone else? No. Why can’t we accept that?

@StVodou Well said, wise words

Love Anugama! My fave is “Shamanic Dream”. Byron Katie used it in Seattle back in 2000... or earlier... healing happened. Am now listening to album “Exotic Dance” on Apple. That led to this mix.... Love divine guidance! Mahalo Ke Akua. Imua. Aloha ‘Āina. Kapu Aluha. Adelante caminante! Eso!!!!

@StVodou thank you for pointing out that this stood out.
I am the original producer of this track, which was later added to Anugama's catalogue since at the time we worked together. I played all percussion instruments, the bass sound was made with high, medium and floor toms.
I still have some of the percussion instruments used during the recording. Cheers!

@Sebastiano Piscicelli Taeggi Of the thousands of pieces on the albums in my library (including a few hundred soundtracks), yours is among my all-time favorites. It was the percussion harmonies that got my attention; now I know a little about how you made them. Your art added something beautiful to my life. Thank you, and thanks for posting!

The difference between a kangaroo and a terrorist is imaginary. When you realise that's an imaginary difference then you can love the kangaroo 🦘 and the terrorist 💥 identically
