Arca embraces fluidity and changing between states, whether it be gender, genre, or personality. In a 2020 interview, they say "We all have multiple personalities. Rather than causing panic, I think maybe that could cause some relief". "There was a clear intention on her fourth album, Kick i to allow every self to express itself. Not to decide how much air time each self would get, but to allow for modulation between them in a spontaneous way. There is no such thing as normal". In Mutability and ambivalence guide the sound of her music — the atmospheres they create often contain abrasive percussive blasts, metal-shop whine, the screech of subway brakes, the whine of jet engines overheating. Anthropomorphic and animalistic sounds abound —mewling cats, mooing cows, anguished screams, the grunts and groans of orgasm, commingling pleasure and terror and beauty and ugliness in the most thrilling ways possible.
She has also been credited for her writing/producing efforts on Björk's Vulnicura and the entirety of Utopia. Alongside FKA twigs' EP2 as well as for their collaborations with Dean Blunt, Frank Ocean, Kelela, Kanye West, ROSALÍA and Lady Gaga, among others.

Time again
Time again
Time again
An arm for a god
Blood suit, unto herself
a reckoning
Bloodied
Harboring faith, still
After all those years
That she'd faced it
Now there's no need to look back
Everything she had was right there
Inside of her
Beckoning
To see
To encounter the unknown
Time and time again
And bloodlust for beauty
And bloodlust lost from and bloodlust for beauty
A bloodlust for beauty
A bloodlust for beauty
Lust for beauty
Bl-bl-bl-blood and lust for beauty
A bloodlust all for beauty
The lyrics of Arca's song "Whoresong" can be interpreted as a reflection on personal growth, resilience, and the pursuit of beauty. The repetition of "Time again" emphasizes the cyclical nature of life and the idea that we often find ourselves facing challenges and restarting the process of self-discovery.
The lines "An arm for a god, Blood suit, unto herself" suggest that the singer is willing to sacrifice a part of herself, represented by her arm, in order to reach a spiritual or higher state of being. This sacrifice is a reckoning, a moment of realization and acceptance of the hardships she has faced. Despite being wounded and bloodied, she still holds onto her faith, demonstrating her resilience and the strength she has gained over the years.
The chorus suggests that the singer has come to a point where she no longer needs to dwell on the past. Everything she needs is already within her, beckoning her to explore and embrace the unknown. The reference to "bloodlust for beauty" could be interpreted as a desire to experience intense emotions and sensations in the pursuit of truth, vulnerability, and genuine beauty.
Overall, "Whoresong" can be seen as a song about personal transformation, the resilience of the human spirit, and the endless pursuit of inner beauty.

It's also that Arca's music takes time and effort to digest. It's intense, loud, complex, it's pure audio research and you have to focus to understand how her tracks are built. Not the kind of music you leave in the background while doing something else. So yeah, that's a lot, and I'm pretty sure many people will listen to one album, take a break, and forget to listen to the other two albums. Weird commercial strategy imo. Nevertheless, I listen to it all and Kick iii is my favorite.
