This Argentine folk rhythm is called "Chacarera Trunca" (truncated: incomplete, mutilated)
And precisely its peculiarity is that it has thetic beginnings (in the first beat of the bar).
Other times they have headless beginnings (the first beat of the first compás is occupied by a silence).
And it has an ending on a downbeat (sort of like it ends early)

That is why it represents a great challenge for singers who are not Argentine and who are not familiar with these rhythms since childhood
Although, with a little more rehearsal it would have turned out better
On the other hand, the chorus sounds wonderful...
