Asa de Águia
Composição: DURVAL LELYS E CLY LOYLIE
Ô leva eu
Eva, eva
Leva também o meu amor
Eva, eva
É carnaval em Salvador
Oh! Meu amor
Quero te ver
Em nosso bloco
Só vai dar eu e você
Me dê a mão
Vamos brincar
Com alegria
Tô querendo te beijar
Oh! Meu amor
Quero saber
Se o paraíso é tão bom
Como você
Venha pra cá
Não diga não
Eu já conheço
Esse olhar na multidão
The lyrics to Asa de Águia's song Leva Eu are a celebration of the Brazilian Carnaval in Salvador, Bahia. The singer calls for his lover to join him in a joyful parade through the streets. He expresses his desire to be with her, to hold her hand and kiss her while they dance together. He compares the experience of being in her company to being in paradise and urges her to come with him to experience the wonder of the Carnaval.
Through the use of repetition and simple phrases, the song sets a carefree and upbeat tone that invites listeners to join in the festivities. The chorus, with its repetition of "Oh leva eu/Eva, eva," is particularly catchy and is often sung by Carnaval revellers as they dance along to the song. The lyrics, sung in Portuguese, are simple and easy to follow, adding to the song's mass appeal.
Overall, Leva Eu is a celebration of love, joy, and the power of music to bring people together. The song captures the spirit of the Carnaval, with its frenzy of color, sound, and movement, and invites listeners to join in the fun.
