Assala's commercial musical career debuted in 1991 with the Egyptian song hit Law Ta'rafou (Egyptian Arabic: لو تعرفو). The album had 4 Egyptian songs in the oriental operatic Classic Egyptian tarab style. The album was an instant hit in Egypt back at that time with heartbreaking songs like "Ya Sabra Yana" and "Samehtak Ketir". She quickly cemented her presence in the Arabic world a growing industry brimming with singers like Angham, Najwa Karam, Latifa, , and Abdelmajeed Abdullah.
Ever since the beginning of the Syrian Civil War, in 2011, Assala Nasri claimed her support for the Syrian rebels and her commitment against Bachar el Assad. Her positions towards the Civil War are human : she wants the conflict to end for the sake of the Syrian civilians. She had her first composing experience in the writing of one song, released in 2011. For her commitment in the conflict, Assala sang at the International Peace day as a new ambassador for "Peace Building Through Music."

Assala Nasri Lyrics

Honeysuckle
Strangers, strange this
Lights from pages
Paper thin thing
Protected by the naked eye
Pearly sunrise
Kneeling like a supplicant
Darkened skin
Afraid to see
Radiate
Open lips
Keep smiling for me
Darkened skin
Afraid to see
Radiate
Open lips
Keep smiling for me
Weightless cool
Honeysuckle
Fair skin freckles
Uncut teeth
Tranquil eyes
Bite my lips
Bite my lips
Shh
Under your feet
Assala Nasri's song "60 De'ei'a Hayah" is a beautiful and haunting piece of music that transports the listener to a dreamlike state. The lyrics are enigmatic and poetic, creating a sense of mystery and intrigue. The opening lines, "Weightless falls, honeysuckle, strangers, strange this" evoke the sense of falling into a world that is unfamiliar and unfamiliar. The use of imagery, such as "lights from pages" and "paper thin things" create an otherworldly sense of the world.
The second verse of the song continues to explore these themes of otherness and mystery, as the singer describes someone who is "nearly worn / kneeling like a supplicant." The use of religious imagery, such as the word supplicant, suggests a sense of desperation and longing in the subject’s state. The phrases "darkened skin / afraid to see" and "radiate / open lips / keep smiling for me" create a sense of tension in the song, as if the subject is holding something back or hiding something.
Overall, "60 De'ei'a Hayah" is a song that invites interpretation and reflection. The enigmatic lyrics create a sense of mystery and intrigue, while the poetic imagery transports the listener to a dreamlike state.
