Kafka
Astro Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Voy por la calle,
no sé que comer;
me hago una bola,
y a dormir.
Tengo amigos
que ladran por mí,
y muerden el frio,
al morir.
Quiero una casa
donde vivir,
una familia
para mí.
Quiero una casa
donde vivir,

una familia
para mí.

Overall Meaning

In Astro's song Kafka, the singer finds himself wandering aimlessly on the street, grappling with hunger and the overwhelming feelings of isolation and loneliness. He is at a loss as to what to eat and in his frustration, he curls up into a ball and goes to sleep. In the midst of his despair, he is reminded of the loyal friends in his life who bark for him and fight against the cold until death. The singer longs for a home and a family of his own, a place where he can find stability and belonging.

The lyrics of Kafka convey a sense of disorientation and searching for meaning in a seemingly meaningless world. The title of the song is a nod to the renowned novelist Franz Kafka, whose works often dealt with similar themes of alienation and the search for identity. The singer's experiences of hunger and homelessness reflect the struggles of many in society who feel overlooked and marginalized.
