"...the first one was moon-like coloured,
the second was gold-like yellow,
the third red, the fourth brown,
the first seven buds were all of the same colour,
the following ones began mixing."

(extract from "The Book of Dzyan" by M. Blavatsky)

Overall Meaning

Ataraxia’s song “The Early Days” draws inspiration from “The Book of Dzyan” by M. Blavatsky, and the lyrics depict the stages of the creation of the universe. The lines "the first one was moon-like coloured, the second was gold-like yellow, the third red, the fourth brown" symbolize the four stages of creation. The reference to colors is a metaphorical representation of the energies that were present during the creation process. The colors signify the distinct influences and forces that were at play during these periods. The lyrics also reveal that the first seven buds were all of the same color, which is an indication of the harmony and consistency present in the early stages of creation. However, there is a shift in the following ones that began to mix, signifying a divergence from the initial coherence and the start of chaos as creation progressed.

The song also draws parallels from Hindu cosmology, where the creation of the universe experienced four stages/ages. The first age was the golden age, followed by the silver age, the bronze age, and finally, the dark age, which represents the ultimate level of human suffering. The lyrics subtly convey the idea that creation, indeed, has its stages and that the colors represent different periods and the forces that shaped the universe.

"The Early Days" by Ataraxia is a compelling song that intricately weaves together thematic elements present in M. Blavatsky's "The Book of Dzyan" and Hindu cosmology to narrate a tale of creation. The lyrics provide insightful commentary on the stages of creation, and the shifts in the colors accurately convey the increasingly complex and varied energies present as the universe evolved.

Awesome ! This is by far the cleanest demo I've released in the terms of FX and EQ. My base sounds are starting to get better so I can focus on the FX later which is kinda nice.

I plan to add beat variations, individual line FX, samples and all that fun stuff next.
