So why don't you care?
I am afraid
I am afraid
Tonight, I'm running away tonight
Tonight, I am
Say you what you say
I am afraid
I'm so afraid
Tonight, I'm running away tonight
Tonight, I am, I am
You're so far away, I guess
You're so far away, I guess
Throwing all my calls away
You don't need me
You don't need me
Drink at night and sleep all day
Well, I don't need you
I don't need you
I drove on every interstate
But you don't need me
You don't need me
Well anyways, yeah anyways
It's over, over, over, over tonight
I'm running away tonight
Tonight, I am, I am, I am
The lyrics to Augustana's song "Feel Fine" convey the emotions of someone who is leaving a relationship or situation and feels the weight of fear and uncertainty. The opening lines of the song, "I'm leaving today, so why don't you care?" express a sense of frustration and disappointment as the singer experiences a lack of acknowledgement or concern from the other person. This sense of fear and concern is further highlighted in the repetition of the line "I am afraid." The decision to leave is not an easy one, and the singer seems to be grappling with the emotional turmoil of the situation.
The chorus of the song, "Tonight, I'm running away tonight, tonight, I am," shows that the singer has made a firm decision to leave the situation. Despite the fear and uncertainty, there is a sense of determination and resolve. The lines "You're so far away, I guess" show that there is a distance between the singer and the other person, and their attempts to communicate have been unsuccessful. The singer expresses feelings of rejection and neglect, with lines like "Throwing all my calls away, you don't need me" and "Drink at night and sleep all day, well, I don't need you." They have tried to make it work but it seems like it's no longer worth the effort.
Overall, the lyrics to "Feel Fine" depict a complex mix of emotions and capture the ups and downs of a tumultuous relationship. The singer experiences fear, disappointment, determination, and eventually, acceptance. The song is a powerful expression of human emotion and the struggles we face in relationships.

I've been searching for the stripped down, original version of these songs since 2007-2008 when I first heard them. Do you have the others that you would be willing to post? They're as amazing as I remember.
