EARLY LIFE
Auxfire was born in Irvine, California. He is the son of Linda Hoy (Maiden name Conklin) and Charles Hoy, second to sister Joanna Hoy and brother Bradley Hoy. He and his family are of German, Italian, Dutch, Scottish and Irish decent. He is also a relative of William "Dummy" Hoy (famous for being the first deaf Major League Baseball catcher, resulting in the catcher/pitcher hand signals). He attended Sentinel Career and Technology Center in Tiffin, Ohio, where he studied computer technologies. It was there that he discovered the music production software he uses today, FL Studio. Most of his music has been composed on his own, with the exception of "Intermition" which was a collaboration with long time friend Jarrod Pfeiffer (AKA Seth Foxen).
Music
Auxfire began making music in mid-2012 after becoming a big fan of house artist Deadmau5. His early albums began as experimental ones until he got better with the software. He then began experimenting with different styles inspired by Blue Stahli and Celldweller.

Weekend
Auxfire Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
Do it to open your eyes
I love that music hear it come
Up and over the horizon
See her again in the crowd
Lots of people standing around
I saw you holding his hand
One more song for this band
Was it you that always cared
I saw you left me for the weekend
Was it you that always cared
Nothing matters now that you're not here
I wrote story into a song
Why don't you care like I do you
All of my secrets were very wrong
She said oh
Oh
She said oh
Oh
I saw you left me for the weekend
Was it you that always cared
I saw you left me for the weekend
Was it you that always cared
The weekend
The weekend
The weekend
The weekend
The lyrics of Auxfire's song "Weekend" reflect feelings of heartbreak, betrayal, and longing. The singer invites someone to see the world with them, symbolizing a journey of discovery and growth. However, the mention of opening their eyes suggests that this person is not only meant to explore the world but also to gain new perspectives and insights. The mention of music and the horizon sets the scene for a moment of realization or epiphany.
As the lyrics progress, the singer witnesses their love interest with someone else in a crowd, highlighting feelings of jealousy and hurt. The reference to holding hands and the sadness of being left for the weekend hint at a lack of commitment and emotional depth in the relationship. This sense of abandonment is further emphasized by the repetition of the line "Was it you that always cared," indicating a questioning of the other person's true feelings.
The chorus expresses the singer's inner turmoil and loneliness in the absence of their love interest. The repetition of "The weekend" serves as a poignant reminder of the time spent apart and the pain it has caused. The mention of writing a story into a song suggests that the singer is trying to process their emotions and make sense of the situation through their art, but they feel unreciprocated in their feelings and efforts.
The repeated refrain of "She said oh" conveys a sense of resignation or acceptance of the situation, as well as a yearning for understanding and closure. The lyrics capture the bittersweet emotions of love lost and the longing for connection, ultimately reflecting on the fleeting nature of relationships and the ache of unfulfilled love.
