Dandini
Azam Ali Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Dandini dandini dastana
Danalar girmiş bostana
Kov bostancı danayı
Yemesin lahanayı

Dandini dandini danadan
Bir ay doğmuş anadan
Kaçınmamış yaradan
Mevla korusun nazardan

Dandini dandini danaylı
Kaplarımız kalaylı
Kızım konak gelini
Oğlum olsa saraylı

Dandini dandini danaylı
Benim oğlum onaylık
On olmasın beş olsun
Güzellere eş olsun

Cows entered to farm,
O farmer take them out,
So they don't eat cabbages.
(This is a small child story, I was usually sleeping in this part that I still remember only this part in Turkish, dreaming of an action how cows can be thrown out of the farm and then falling into sleep)

He is in one month old,

I remember my Grandmother was singing this to me, when she was trying to make me sleep when I was just a little boy. The meaning of the lullaby is very sweet and it contains many beautiful prayers for a little child...

@Jjrmtv
