Casanova
BB Brunes Lyrics

She always wants me to believe
That life's a game
In which it's easier to cheat
And so I try to forget
The morals to lie to truth
Tried so hard with this weight on my shoulders
They don't believe me anymore
They don't want to hear when I cry
That I'm not the one to be blamed
So I'm running away from their smiles
Running away from their clothes
When I came back to her she sighed
Sorry darling
I'd love to let the good times ride
It's such a shame when you find out eventually
You love the game
And the life is the one who cheats
And so I try to forget
The morals to lie to truth
Tried so hard with this weight on my shoulders
But I could see their smiles upon their faces
They don't believe me anymore
They don't want to hear when I cry
That I'm not the one to be blamed
So I'm running away from their smiles
Running away from their clothes
When I came back to her she sighed
Sorry darling
I'd love to let the good times ride
The lyrics in BB Brunes's song Casanova speaks about the ups and downs of a problematic relationship, where one partner is making the other feel guilty. The song starts with the singer admitting that his partner is strange and wants him to believe that life is a game, which is easier to cheat. He then explains how he tries to forget the moral values and live a lie to please his lover, but it becomes too much to bear. The singer talks about the weight on his shoulders and how he could see the smiles on their faces, which made him feel like they didn't believe or care for his pain.
The song progresses, and the singer decides to run away from their happiness and material possessions, seeking solace in his lover's arms. However, when he returns to her, she apologizes for not wanting to give up the good times, making the singer realize the whole problem was that they were both playing the game, and life is the ultimate cheater. The lyrics show a relationship that is not built on trust and honesty but rather a toxic cycle of blame and guilt.
Overall, BB Brunes's Casanova is a reminder that relationships built on the wrong foundation cannot thrive, no matter how much one tries to hold on. The singer tried to forget about the truth and live a lie to keep his lover happy, but in the end, it all came crumbling down.
