The ensemble consists of four clarinets, three trumpets, a tambora, a tarola, a tuba (Sousaphone style), three trombones, and three singers.
Banda el Recodo was founded by Don Cruz Lizárraga from Sinaloa, Mexico. Although he had to drop out of high school to work, Lizárraga was an excellent bandleader and musician. Self-taught on the clarinet, he was forced to sell one of his hogs to pay for his new musical instrument. Once he moved to Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Lizarraga signed a deal with RCA Victor and soon formed Banda el Recodo. Since his death in 1995, Lizarraga's son has taken over the group and undertaken extensive international tours. Today, Banda el Recodo continues to be one of the most famous and most popular Mexican folk music bands of all time
Fue tan poco tu Cariño

Y lo has conseguido
Después de pasarme las noches enteras
Llorando por ti
Qué ingrata
Que después de haberte dado
Lo más bello de mi vida
Yo no sé si te olvidaste ya de mí
Probablemente
The lyrics of Banda El Recodo's song "Fue tan poco tu Cariño" revolve around unrequited love and the pain of being rejected by the person you love. The song starts with the singer acknowledging that their lover wanted them to stop loving them, and they have achieved it. The singer spent countless nights crying over the lover but the lover is now uninterested in them. The singer expresses their feelings of hurt and how ungrateful the lover is after they gave them the best years of their life.
The chorus emphasizes the singer's difficulty in forgetting about the lover. Even if time has passed, the singer cannot forget the lover because their love was too great. The singer acknowledges that the lover has moved on with someone else and wishes them good luck, but they cannot ask the singer to forget about their love. The song ends with the singer asking where the former lover is.
In summary, the song expresses emotions of pain, sorrow, and the difficulty of moving on from a past love. It speaks to the lingering feelings that one can have for a former love, even when they are no longer interested in them.
