There's nothing on my body left to see
I tried a thousand times
I tried to say "I love you", but you didn't hear me
And you're passive-aggressive
Convinced me other people didn't care about me
And you're passive-aggressive
You're passive-aggressive
And to think you would get me to the altar
Like I follow you around like a dog that needs water
But admit it that you wanted me smaller
If you would have let me grow
You could have kept my love
Ode to my two thighs
I still want you to kiss 'em 'cause they're lonely
And why are you so surprised?
And when I said "I miss you," you never believed me?
And we were so depressive
You and me together we were gemini feed
And we were so depressive
We were so depressive
We were so depressive, hey
And to think you would get me to the altar
Like I follow you around like a dog that needs water
But admit it that you wanted me smaller
If you would have let me grow
You could have kept my love
And to think you would get me to the altar
Like I follow you around like a dog that needs water
But admit it that you wanted me smaller
If you would have let me grow
You could have kept my love
And to think you would get me to the altar
Like I follow you around like a dog that needs water
But admit it that you wanted me smaller
If you would have let me grow
You could have kept my love
In Banks's song "Gemini Feed," she is expressing her frustration and disappointment with a partner who has treated her poorly. She starts by saying that there's nothing left for him to see on her body because he's already taken everything from her. She has tried to express her love to him many times, but he never listened. He's passive-aggressive and convinced her that other people didn't care about her. Banks then addresses her partner directly saying that she followed him around like a dog that needs water, and he manipulated her into thinking that she needed him. She then accuses him of wanting her to be smaller and not letting her grow, which ultimately caused her to lose her love for him.
The song's chorus repeats the lines, "And to think you would get me to the altar / Like I follow you around like a dog that needs water / But admit it that you wanted me smaller / If you would have let me grow, you could have kept my love." These lines are a powerful commentary on the destructive nature of relationships in which one person tries to control the other by making them feel small and powerless. Banks is telling her partner that if he had accepted who she was and allowed her to grow, they could have had a healthy, loving relationship.

I still want you to kiss 'em 'cause they're lonely

And why are you so surprised?
You shouldn't be shocked that I still have feelings for you
And when I said "I miss you," you never believed me?
You were dismissive of my expressions of love and need for you
And we were so depressive
Our relationship was marked by sadness and negativity
You and me together we were gemini feed
Our toxic relationship fed off of each other's negative energy

This song is a pure form of art!! The details are so brilliant!! I'll sum up the comments and mix them with my own assumptions too. The music video starts with High Priestess, which symbolically means inner wisdom, intuition, enlightenment, spiritual insight and etc. and she repeats these specific words:
βAnd to think you would get me to the altar
Like I'd follow you around like a dog that needs water
But admit it that you wanted me smaller
If you would've let me grow you could have kept my loveβ
Which means she's aware of the situation deep inside, but she can't break the chains yet. Then we see a reference to the βBlack Swanβ ( I'm not sure if it was inspired from that, it's just an assumption). I haven't watched the movie myself, but as much as I know, it's about self destruction, the main character gets involved in something she likes so much that, she destroys herself.
These two people, one wearing white, and the other wearing black represent the ying-yang energy: a Gemini person or two people in a relationship ( the victim and the abuser).
First assumption may be that, she's in a manipulative toxic relationship, in which she and her partner feed on each other's depression. And she's most likely the victim( the white dressed self) and the other one is the manipulator. But they're lying on a web, and if you notice, on the white side, there are some black ropes too, it may mean that she's getting consumed from the toxicity.
The second one is that, it may represent only one person and their unresolved dark self. As a Gemini, it's more relevant to the situation. She's fighting against her dark self to get free. As in the βBlack Swanβ reference, the black one is other side, that destroys her eventually. In this mv she wants to get away from the destructive self, she complains about it. As for the High Priestess, she may represent the β Egoβ from Freud theory, the priestess may be the one who chooses which side to be, or the one that sees the situation as a third person. It represents awareness, intuition, so it's calling out to her.
She's also pointing out the stereotypes people associate Geminis with, as for snakes, two-faced, but in reality, they're just unique and not understood by just anyone, hehe.
Please note that these are only assumptions, thank you for taking your time and reading, sending positive vibes!!
And yeah P.S. Gemini feed doesn't necessarily mean the toxic relationship goes between two Geminis, it may apply to anyone
