Rupture
Battlecross Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
To look at your face, you'd bury yourself so deep in the ground
And end your life forever, coward
The temptation to rupture you, pour the salt inside the wound
There is nothing you could do that would stop me from tearing your face apart
Rupture
I'll bury you so fucking deep in the ground and end your life forever, coward
Rupturing, you're suffering
Rupturing your face, cunt
This is the end
The lyrics to Battlecross's song "Rupture" are very aggressive and contains a lot of anger and frustration. The lyrics speak to the great amount of patience it takes to watch someone walk by, and the desire to want to hurt them. If the person being observed understood how much patience it took to simply look at them, they would bury themselves in the ground in shame. The singer contemplates causing physical harm to the person by rupturing their face and pouring salt into the wound.
The chorus of the song speaks to the desire to bring the person down and cause them to suffer for their actions. The words "rupturing" and "suffering" are repeated throughout the song, emphasizing the violence and aggression that the singer is feeling towards the other person. The song ends with the powerful phrase "This is the end", implying that the singer is willing to take matters into their own hands and end the situation permanently.
One interesting fact about the song "Rupture" is that it is featured on Battlecross's third studio album "Rise to Power", which was released in 2015. The album received positive reviews and helped establish Battlecross as a force to be reckoned with in the metalcore genre. Additionally, the album was produced by Jason Suecof, who has worked with other popular metal bands such as Trivium and DevilDriver.
Another interesting fact about the song is that it features a guest appearance by Shannon Lucas, who was the drummer for the band The Black Dahlia Murder at the time. Lucas's intense drumming style adds another layer of aggression to the already heavy song. Furthermore, the song was one of the band's most popular tracks and was often played during live performances.
