I Feel The Magic
Belinda Carlisle Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Last night I gave up on myself
I hit the bed, tell me what should I do
And in a dream I saw your face

It's more than just a face
You make me want to give my heart away
I feel the magic
Like I never felt before
I imagine that it's always been there
I feel the magic
There's an angel looking after me
Angel baby give me more and more

Today I woke up by myself
I hit the streets I wondered what should I do
I never noticed from the start
That I could feel alive again
That I could feel a part of
I feel the magic
Like I never felt before
I imagine that it's always been there
I feel the magic

There's an angel looking after me
Angel baby give me more and more

@Jason Burger Oh, yes, Petula had turned down Elvis' offer to do her and Karen in a 3-some. Dumb-ass Petula, I'd have been on my knees in front of Elvis at that point
No, I don't recall Gina on TV at all. In addition to her beauty in movies, she's on YouTube in her sixties singing beautifully and still looking yummy She sings Cole Porters (?) C'est Magnifique., or something.
As for my review on The Hunchback movie, I just went to make sure it's still there. It is, but they've changed everything about finding the damn thing. Took me a frustrating hour or so.

I have to ask...have you noticed the screwed-up new systems on YouTube, Google, and so forth...changes that came in October, 2020, or about the same time these Commie dickheads started taking over the world via their lying statistics on this pandemic crap?
Please, no arguments. Simply yes or no, have you noticed?
Thanks for talking the girls.
My favorites at the moment are Helene Fischer, Melissa Naschenweng, and Rosanna Rocci. Helene and Melissa have most recently taken a wrong turn w/management, so I've been kinda obsessed with Rosanna.
All I dare say right now is that I'd go down on Rosanna in a heartbeat..and no, I am far far from being a lesbian.
If you can't find that Hunchback review, let me know, and I'll try to help.

@Janett Grady I was born in the 1970s, but remember Gina Lollobrigida on "Falcon Crest," the CBS-TV Friday night soap opera that had starred Jane Wyman, among others, from 1981-1990. Gina was on during the mid-1980s and was already older, but still a stunner. My mother had told me then that she herself was once mistook for Gina Lollobrigida in the 1950s when she had first come to California. I looked back on old pictures of my mother and there was a resemblance.

Gina Lollobrigida was born on July 4, 1927 and, thankfully, is still alive and just turned 94 years old. She still resides in Italy. There was a bit of scandal in her later years, about maybe 10 years ago, when it was stated on the news and Internet that Gina, in her 80s at the time, was going to marry a 45-year-old man over 40 some years her junior. It was later called off and wound up in court , with her family claiming he was trying to scam her out her money. That is what it had appeared to be. Later pictures of Gina online show still a beautiful woman in her 80s and 90s, older but defying her age.

Do you recall Gina Lollobrigida on "Falcon Crest?" She was not a series regular, but she did get on the show opposite Jane Wyman, who played the scheming vintner Angela Channing. Jane Wyman often had older movie queens on the series and it helped introduce them to younger audiences.

Petula Clark is 88 years old, born on November 15, 1932. She was a child star in her native England. I recall her for her hits "Downtown," "Sign Of The Times, " "I Know A Place," "The Cat In The Window," "Kiss Me Goodbye," and "Don't Sleep In The Subway," among others.

Petula released her first music video at 83. It is on YouTube. Petula is still active and had been stated to have been a friend of Karen Carpenter, and recently there was something about Elvis Presley that Petula had stated in a radio interview that involved the three of them. Petula did attend her memorial service in Downey, California, in 1983.

Petula was a frequent guest on the old Dean Martin show back in the late 1960s/early 1970s. That was before my time, but I have seen some clips on YouTube.

I have been a longtime fan of both Gina Lollobrigida and Petula Clark. I will have to check on the movie that you had referenced.

The old time entertainers, even the ones that had issues, did it with style, in my opinion, compared to the more tacky entertainers of the youth movement currently.

Thank You So Very Much

She's the most beautiful woman who ever drew a breath.

@Jason Burger Yes, too many comment pages are turned off, and I believe most off's are in some way anti-Commie...singers, video producers, and/or old comments pro freedom, and so forth.
Yes, Gina's beauty is timeless...and in her sixties, she was hailed as one of the most beautiful singers, her sultry voice making her one of the most popular girl singers of her era. Yes, find her singing C'est Magnifique and you'll be amazed
Too, you might enjoy Rosanna Rocci-Italo-Medley-August 2, 2020, or any Rosanna music videos, including her duets with Michael Morgan, the guy she married...then divorced. She's a living doll and he's a hunk and a half....to me, at least.
All in all, as far as I'm concerned, Europe rules the music world, and the Politically Correct types have ruined the USA...music-wise and otherwise.
Oh, well, I'm too old to worry about it, but if I were your age, I'd...
Cheers!!!

@Janett Grady Yes, YouTube has changed a lot lately, with a lot of comments sections turned off. I will look for your review. Anyway, at least they have some clips on YouTube of Gina Lollobrigida from her appearances on "Falcon Crest" as Francesca. The rivalry of her character on the show with that of Jane Wyman is something else. She had her classic looks full on.

@Jason Burger Thanks again. You seem to know lots about these old beauties, so I have to ask about two of my favorites..,Gina Lollobrigida, the Italian actress I've loved since Trapeze, and love her best in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, 1956, with Anthony Quinn. In her sixties, Gina sang beautifully. Gina is today in her late nineties. My other old favorite is Petula Clark, who's still performing in her late eighties.
I wrote a review on the Hunchback movie. If you want to see it, enter: The Hunchback of Notre Dame, 1956, the movie. Scan right, scan down to audience reviews, and click the first one. It should come up. I can not send a "link." If you can find the review, let me know what you think of it. Thanks.

Such a Beautiful California Girl! She resembles a young Priscilla Presley here with the blonde hair. When she went Auburn for the Heaven album she really resembled a young Ann-Margaret! Stunningly beautiful and even now in her late 50's looks great!

Jason Burger

She is currently at or close to 63 and looks remarkably well-preserved.

Jane Kafieh

So true she reminds me of Ann Margaret and so much talent! Love Belinda
