Stay
Beth Hart Lyrics

Soft as a breeze & light as the wind
Don't say good-bye & don't dry these tears
If I could fly we'd fly away from here
So don't let go
Just come along now
Just say so
It won't be long now
It's right on time
Petals of rose I touch your hair
Heaven knows I love you here
Beautiful smile covets the time
I feel so fine I feel so fine
On my way
Come along &
Stay
When I was young just a little girl
I'd sing to the sun & dream with the world
Now I got a suitcase full of memories
If I could show you
Maybe you'd stay with me
So don't let go
Just come along now
Just say
So It won't be long now
It's all right
This ain't no lie
It's Love Don't Die
The song "Stay" by Beth hart is a beautifully crafted song with deep and emotional lyrics. The song talks about a relationship that has ended, but the memories and love still linger. The opening lines "So suddenly it rolls by again, Soft as a breeze & light as the wind" sets the tone for the song as it describes how the memories of the past come back just like a breeze or wind, so unexpectedly, and one can only remember the good times.
There is a sense of longing in the song as the singer pleads with the person not to let go and come along to stay with her. The lines "Petals of rose I touch your hair, Heaven knows I love you here Beautiful smile covets the time, I feel so fine, I feel so fine" describe the beauty and love that the singer has for the person. The use of the petals of rose further emphasizes the beauty of the moment and the love between the two.
The song also has a sense of hope as the singer talks about flying away with the person to escape the challenges they face. The use of the line "If I could fly we'd fly away from here" shows how the singer desperately wants to leave the past behind and start fresh with the person. The song ends with the lines "It's all right, This ain't no lie, It's Love Don't Die", which shows that the love they had for each other is still alive, and it will never die.
Overall, the song "Stay" is a beautiful masterpiece of the Beth Hart. The lyrics are emotional and heartfelt, and the melody is soulful and captivating.
