In September of 1999, he finished composing a demo, which was listened to by the record label Nems Enterprises, who immediately offered him a record deal. Vázquez would have the hard task of finding musicians who were able to perform to the high standard the project demanded. The label also suggested that vocalists of international fame should participate in the project, making it possible for the album to be released worldwide.
All the songs were composed and written by Beto Vázquez and performed by the band. This way he was in charge of songwriting, musical direction, arrangement, bass guitar, acoustic guitar and electric guitar. Vázquez was able to expand his potential as musician and give shape to a new project based on his personal musical influences which include: Pink Floyd, Rhapsody, Helloween, Skyclad, Porcupine Tree, Moonspell, Blackmore's Night, and In Flames.
The first album released in 2001 Beto Vazquez Infinity
had many guest such as:
Tarja Turunen (former Nightwish, Tarja), Candice Night (Blackmore's Night), Sabine Edelsbacher (Edenbridge) and Fabio Tordiglione (Rhapsody of Fire).
In April, 2002 the tour producer José Luis Botto proposed Beto to take the band on a tour to Spain. The festival featured Barón Rojo, Shaman, Angeles del Infierno and Dark Moor among others. The band took part in the festival playing to their first international crowd. The audience showed a very positive response and the musicians claim to have enjoyed the experience. Beto Vázquez Infinity played as supporting band for bands such as: Nightwish, Labyrinth, Vision Divine, Angra, Tierra Santa and others.
Beto Vázquez has continued this theme with releasing albums with guest vocalist on each album.

Jewels and treasures of devastated towns
The clock of death ticks time with cold step
As he flies, he destroys everything around him
Calm waters turn into steam
A red light in the mountain announces he is here
He is smaug
I
Inside his cave he hates strangers who break in
All alone, he watches all his belongings
Forever...
The lord of the sky
He is the lord of the fire
The man of the lake
Fear his cruelty
But an arrow makes justice
Smaug falls down
Mortally wounded the beast got what he deserved
The people is set free and the story a legend will be
The song Lord of the Sky by Beto Vázquez Infinity tells the story of Smaug, a dragon who resides inside a mountain and keeps his devotion to jewels and treasures of devastated towns. The clock of death ticks time with cold step as he watches over his belongings. He destroys everything around him as he flies, and calm waters turn into steam. The red light in the mountain announces his presence.
Smaug hates strangers who break into his cave, and he watches over his belongings alone. He is depicted as a cruel and powerful creature feared by all. However, justice prevails as an arrow strikes him mortally wounded. The people are set free and his story becomes a legend.
The lyrics are full of metaphorical and mythical references. They narrate the story of Smaug, a character well-known from J.R.R. Tolkien's book The Hobbit. It describes his power and cruelty, but also his downfall and the liberation of the people from his terror. The song has an epic and adventurous tone and uses vivid imagery to portray the story.
