Big Time Sensuality [The Fluke
Björk Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Something important
Is about to happen
It's coming up
It takes courage
To enjoy it
The hardcore and the gentle
We just met
And I know I'm a bit too intimate
But something huge is coming up
And we're both included
It takes courage
To enjoy it
The hardcore and the gentle
Big time sensuality
I don't know my future
After this weekend
And I don't want to
It takes courage
To enjoy it
The hardcore and the gentle
Big time sensuality
Sensuality
The lyrics of Björk's song "Big Time Sensuality" are all about celebrating life's moments and embracing them with courage and sensuality. The song opens with the lyrics "I can sense it, something important is about to happen, it's coming up," which sets a tone of anticipation and excitement for what's to come. The song explores the idea that it takes bravery to fully appreciate and enjoy life, regardless of whether your personality is more hardcore or gentle. The lines "The hardcore and the gentle, big time sensuality" suggest that everyone can experience this heightened sense of sensuality and joy if they allow themselves to fully engage in the moment.
The song's second verse alludes to a new relationship, with Björk singing "We just met, and I know I'm a bit too intimate, but something huge is coming up, and we're both included." The lines speak to the excitement and intimacy that comes with falling in love, and the anticipation of experiencing something great together. The final verse suggests a sense of uncertainty about what the future holds, but Björk asserts that "it takes courage to enjoy it," encouraging listeners to embrace the present moment and live life to the fullest.
Overall, "Big Time Sensuality" is an upbeat and celebratory song that encourages listeners to embrace their sensuality and enjoy life to the fullest. It speaks to the power of living in the moment and taking risks, even if the future is uncertain.
