It all started in 1993 (finland). Cauldron, Wrath, Tero, Marko, Jussi changed the name Nocturnal Feast into Black Dawn. Before the recording of the 2nd demo in May, Black Dawn was in war with the local mob of Jehovah worshippers the police and one particular priest. In the first quarter of the year the Black Dawn fell to pieces once more. Only Wrath and Cauldro, were left. The old way became their goal once more. Before the summer Black Dawn found new members : Anzhaar and Gaunt.
Black Dawn is also know as the True Black Dawn due to legal issues with another band from the US with the same name.

Destroy not the stones
The temple can be rebuilt
The stones can be replaced
Burn flesh and skin
Destroy their putrid kin
Flesh can't be rebuilt
Fire
Burning in our hearts
Engulfs jehovah's kin
Darkly burning flames
Lick the holy skin
Lick the holy skins to black
Burn, all, burn!
Unleash the purifying flames
The lyrics to Black Dawn's song A Horned Moon Rising speak to the power of destruction and the importance of choosing what to destroy. The first two lines speak to an urge to destroy, but then the lyrics suggest that there is a distinction between things that can be replaced and those that cannot. The temple can be rebuilt, but flesh cannot. The lyrics then turn to something that is meant to be destroyed: the putrid kin of jehovah. The song suggests that this destruction is necessary in order to unleash the purifying flames that will bring about a horned moon rising.
The lyrics suggest a desire to embrace the dark and the destructive. The line about licking the holy skins to black is particularly powerful, as it suggests a willingness to consume and destroy something pure and holy. The final line of the song, "burn, all, burn!" is a call to action, urging listeners to unleash the unholy flames of destruction and embrace the power of darkness.
Overall, the lyrics to A Horned Moon Rising speak to the power of destruction and the importance of choosing what to destroy. There is a suggestion that destruction can be purifying and necessary in order to unleash more powerful forces.
