1. Blue Magic, an American R&B vocal quintet whose members were Theodore Mills, Vernon Sawyer, Wendell Sawyer, Keith Beaton, and Richard Pratt, was formed in Philadelphia and signed to Atlantic Records in 1973. They hit the Top 40 of the R&B singles chart with their first three 45s before breaking through and crossing over with "Sideshow," released in April 1974, which went gold, topped the R&B charts, and became a Top Ten pop hit. "Three Ring Circus," their next single, made the R&B Top Ten and the pop Top 40. Blue Magic had two more R&B chart singles in 1975 and four in 1976 before suffering a career slump, but they still managed to influence many artists, such as The Mighty Majors ('You can Never go Back'), which opened a show for them once. Still, they returned with R&B chart singles in 1981 and 1983 and made a comeback album, From Out of the Blue, in 1989.

Haunted
Blue Magic Lyrics

Bonfire scented autumn days
Someone's slipped away
And someone's thoughts
Are all in one place
These are haunted days
The year is facing its old age
To see her home
So she could catch some sleep
Everything's a little
Everything's a little thrown
I watched her cry for
Someone I didn't know
You can sense it on the wind
The wind that sets the trees to singing
Hear them whispering how
Someone's gone, someone's missing
These are haunted days
Sad and golden, underplayed
I met her on Oxford Street to see her home
So she could catch some sleep
These are haunted days
Bonfire scented autumn days
You can't fix everything that breaks
And someone's thoughts are all in one place
The song "Haunted" by Blue Magic explores the themes of grief and loss. The lyrics talk about how the days feel haunted because someone has slipped away, and someone's thoughts are all in one place. The verses describe the atmosphere of autumn, with bonfires and trees singing in the wind. The singer meets a woman from work and sees her home so that she can catch some sleep. The chorus repeats the phrase "these are haunted days," emphasizing the overwhelming feeling of loss and sadness.
The song's lyrics depict the confusion and helplessness that often come with grief. The singer watches the woman cry for someone they didn't know, which shows how loss can have ripple effects that go beyond the immediate family and friends of the deceased. The image of the wind setting the trees to singing and whispering about someone missing creates a somber and eerie atmosphere that suits the theme of the song.
Overall, "Haunted" by Blue Magic is a poignant song that captures the complexity of grief, the beauty of the autumn season, and the sense of loss that hangs over everything during a difficult time.

No date tonight, or no date for the weekend. Oh, No !
Its only Love, Its only love you seeking .
Still I sit too shy to tell her my feelings. Missing every chance to show her a ball.
Wishing other guys would leave her alone.
Until I can call, I Sit Alone, Again, while she goes out with him.
She holds me tight and shows me good vibration.
And she feels so real, until I awaken .
Still I sit too shy to tell her my feelings. Missing every chance to show her a ball.
Wishing other guys would leave her alone.
Until I can call, I Sit Alone, Again, while she goes out with him.

Still I sit too shy to tell her my feelings. Missing every chance to show her a ball.
Wishing other guys would leave her alone.
Until I can call, I Sit Alone, Again, while she goes out with him.
Sitting here, all alone, waiting by the telephone.
She's gone out with him . Come on home.
I think I finally got the nerve.
She's still out with him.
I think I finally got the nerve.
She's still out with him.
