Bob Marley and the Wailers (previously known as The Wailers, and prior to t… Read Full Bio ↴Bob Marley and the Wailers (previously known as The Wailers, and prior to that The Wailing Rudeboys, The Wailing Wailers and The Teenagers) were a Jamaican ska, rocksteady and reggae band. The founding members, in 1963, were Bob Marley (Robert Nesta Marley), Peter Tosh (Hubert Winston McIntosh), and Bunny Wailer (Neville Livingston).

During 1970 and 1971, Wailer, Marley and Tosh worked with renowned reggae producers Leslie Kong and Lee "Scratch" Perry.

They released four albums before signing to Island Records in 1972. Two more albums were created before Tosh and Wailer left the band in 1974, citing grievances over label treatment and ideological differences. Marley carried on with a new line-up, including the I-Threes that put out seven more more albums. Marley died in 1981.

The Wailers were a groundbreaking ska and reggae group, noted for songs such as "Simmer Down", "Trenchtown Rock", "Nice Time", "War", "Stir It Up" and "Get Up, Stand Up".

My story is a few years ago I met someone I really fell deeply in love with and he made it seem like the feeling was mutual. Things progressed and we planned a wedding, he proposed, we planned a baby. I got pregnant. Happiest day of my life. I've always wanted to be a mom. After I got pregnant he confided to me he was scared to have the baby. (eventhough we consciously made the baby, it was planned) and So I asked him why he got me pregnant if he was scared. He said he did it out of revenge. On his ex. To make her jealous. I got so upset I started packing my things that moment to leave. Pregnant and packing boxes and moving them into my car. He didn't help at all just stated at me and said nothing at all. I miscarried within a week. 2 days after the procedure to remove the embryo of the baby he kicked me to the curb. After that I met someone else and we tried getting pregnant and I kept losing the babies. I blamed my ex. I felt like whatever he caused me to have the d&c and miscarriage and the fact it was all fake and a lie was why I couldn't have babies. I fell into a deep depression. Finally I got pregnant and had a baby with the new man. She is now 1 and a half months old and my life is full because I didn't give up even when I wanted to. The lyrics Bob says when he says in the darkness must come out the light. I take that as all the things my ex was doing in the dark came to light. And the truth saved me and showed me to get away from him and not let him use me for his sick games anymore. R.I.P. To my angel baby who would be 3 years old this coming January.
