As disgusting as this is to me, I am going to withhold judgement. I think they were traumatized from the war. I'm sure they were too poor to get therapy. When someone's mind is unhealthy and they feel desperate, they can make irrational decisions. Everybody reacts different in stressful situations. I'm not trying to minimize or excuse their behavior and/or decisions, I'm just trying to understand their mindset. I thought this to be so disturbing and I just read the subtitles because I couldn't bear to listen. This is very unusual indeed and its not normal. But if we put the ignorance a side you would see the trauma that they faced. They were kids when they lost their family. Its heart breaking actually not sick at all. Think of the level of pain to have no mother or father, the anxiety and fear as a child forced to become adults. They may not even be real siblings because to have four normal kids and born of the same parents is rare.

I am not disgusted by this couple. This is a touching story about two people traumatized by war and being orphaned. They have found a way to be happy. It would be better if they could get psychological help, but that may not be available to them. Incest is taboo because of the higher risk of passing on recessive genetic problems. But the risk is lower than people think. Their children look healthy and happy. As long as their children do no marry siblings, everyone should be fine.
