Love Dies Hard
Bucks Fizz Lyrics

She picked a fine time for leaving
And I thought we'd found a way
To make it alright
And I'll say honestly
She was no good for me
And what she gave to me
She gave indifferently
Oh, and I miss her so
Why did her let her go?
'Cos this love dies hard
I'm alone
And I still regret each moment we're apart
Now this love dies hard
I was wrong
And I can't forget these feelings when they start
Breaking my heart

We found the right time for talking
She just put me down
Never let me breathe
And while she cheated on me
I loved her endlessly
My love defeated me
I got too high to see
Where we were going wrong
How can I carry on?

'Cos this love dies hard
I'm alone
And I still regret each moment we're apart
Now this love dies hard
I was wrong
And I can't forget these feelings when they start
Breaking me heart

She was everything there has never been
Such a love in a life before
Never been a light that shines so brightly for me
How could I have missed the signs of straying
When each and every one was saying

'Cos this love dies hard
I'm alone
And I still regret each moment we're apart
Now this love dies hard
I was wrong
And I can't forget these feelings when they start
Breaking my heart

This one and "getting kinda lonely" are my all-time favourite ballads from them! Just beautiful!!

Don't the Fizz perform beautiful ballads, as good as Getting Kinda Lonely...10/10

steve carolan Yeah, the ballads really showcase their stunning intricate harmonies. Wish they’d done a version of Have You Ever Been In Love, Leo Sayer’s single penned by Andy Hill and also recorded by his band Paris.

Reportedly, Bobby took lead on this one and let Mike have "Now Those Days are Gone". Two very good songs; one was a top-10 in the UK, and the other relegated to the LP. Agreed, with all the great material this group put out, there were several bad decisions made on how to release them.

Been saying it for years and am now more convinced then EVER. RCA or Bucks Fizz themselves-whoever made the decision, must have been OUT OF THEIR MINDS not to have used this as a single back then.I think it ended up as a bonus track on London Town 12"?.!!!!!.

it was on the album are you ready, before London town came out ,and was just added as an extra track for the 12 inch of London town

ZanduckTV2

steve radford A bizarre choice, given London Town was a year later and that and their self-penned offering Identity were funky synth numbers, not in the same style at all. Jay conjured up some fabulous images for them, but they didn’t always go with their sound!
