Brown was born on May 12, 1982 to Dan and Cheryl Brown in Madison, Mississippi, a suburb of Jackson.[1][2] When Brown was nine years old, his family decided to relocate to Orlando, Florida for his father’s career.[1][3] In 2005, he graduated from Mississippi State with a degree in Psychology.[1] On October 13, 2009, he released a cover of Easton Corbin’s “A Little More Country Than That” that went viral.[1][4] A year later, he opened up for country music legend, John Anderson in Wildwood, FL.[1][5][6][7] On July 4, 2012, he released his first album titled Mason Jar. His fan base pushed his first full-length CD to No. 34 on the iTunes country chart without a record deal.[1][8] March 11, 2014, he released a self-titled EP, Buddy Brown. On October 14, 2014, Buddy released his second EP, Keepin’ It Country.[9] This EP reached to No. 12 on the iTunes charts. In January 2014, Billboard put Keepin’ It Country on their Heat Seekers Albums list. USA Today published a story on Brown, labeling him as a “YouTube Sensation.” [1] His single “Takin’ You Huntin’” landed him a spot on the front page and an online feature in the Clarion Ledger.[10] [11] On April 21, 2015, he released his third EP, Hometown Anthems.[12] This EP landed at No. 28 on iTunes. He joined artists’ Chase Rice and Dee Jay Silver in May of that year to perform at the NASCAR Talladega Motor Speedway.[13] He previously performed for more than 10,000 in a pre-race concert at Talladega in May 2013.[1] On July 24–25, 2015, he performed at Boo Fest, a charity golf tournament.[14] Fall of 2015, the College Town Throw Down Tour line up included Justin Moore, Jon Pardi, Easton Corbin, Joe Nichols and Brothers Osborne.[15] He opened up for Jon Pardi at the Clay County Fairgrounds in Green Cover Springs, FL in October 2015.[16] On July 22, 2016, he will open for Jon Pardi again at the Muscatine County Fair.[17] In February 2016, Brown released his fourth EP, Hurricane Stomp.[18] The EP peaked at No. 16 on iTunes-US and No. 8 in Canada.[19] The EP was featured on New Artist Spotlight and landed on the Billboard’s sales chart as one of the two top independent releases of the week.[20] Brown currently has over seven million views of his YouTube videos.[21] In addition to his YouTube success, Brown has over 250,000 social media followers.

Let me tell you something, kids. I am 51 years old. I played my last season in 1987.
Watching this now...34 f__king years later, after having served in the Navy, graduated from college, completed a successful career and retiring last year...This shit STILL made the blood rush to my head, tears flow out of my eyes and I felt my legs inching toward a two point stance position and my back straighten up, like I was ready to roll my hips and launch my body into a tackle. I think I even hear old Coach Thomas yelling "WRAP UP!!"
It NEVER goes away! I don't care how old you get, nor how much else you do afterwards...it NEVER goes away!

To all the young dudes playing high school football right now... enjoy every last second, my brothers. Bust your ass every single practice, every single game, every single play. You'll miss this so much.

Obviously I’m not male, but this makes me get chills. America can be as simple as a high school football game. This is a deep root that we share.
