Burning Sensations lone self-titled LP was produced in 1983 on Capitol/EMI Records and was produced by Tim McGovern and David Jerden.
Burning Sensations included:
Tim McGovern - lead vocals, guitar synthesizers
Rob Rio Hasik - bass, guitar, synth
Barry "The Hatchet" Wisdom - Drums
Morley Bartnof - keyboards, backing vocals
Jeff Hollie - saxophones, backing vocals
Michael Temple - hand-drums-timbales, percussion.
The Burning Sensations are also a 1990s punk rock band. The Burning Sensations only released one EP titled "Cuzima".

I first got into these guys courtesy of the most random thing...
The Disney Channel's DTV Music Video for it which I first saw in June, 1999! That Summer, I tracked down their hit single Belly of the Whale featured on an 80s compilation CD and then later I think in late 2000, I bought a copy of their LP off Ebay.
Wish these guys could've kept going but at least we have their sound preserved! So great to hear a high quality rip of the album!
I was born in July of 1983 so this would've likely been my soundtrack to my entering the world!

I was in High School in 1983, and encountered so many new things and feelings and experiences that year ... the entire semester. I was listening to 91X on the FM dial by rigging an antenna I put together from Radio Shack because I live in the High Desert of California and KROQ and most other stations are not transmitted that far away from Los Angeles. But I loved that station, and during that year especially, the music of that time was the soundtrack to my life. Burning Sensations 'Belly Of The Whale' was one of those songs in that soundtrack. Played on 91X, I found the cassette at the nearby Wherehouse Records and Tapes store. I bought it and heard all the songs off the album and loved it all. Rock n Roll with a Calypso element. I loved it (later I loved Punta Rock from Belize), and ya know, I have that cassette to this very day. I had to repair it because over the years of beer and other things, the cassette somehow lost its pressure pad, and I still have a very old cassette player, so I replaced the pressure pad with a pressure pad from a Smiths tape I have from that era, and whallla! I played that tape just about 6 months ago. still sounds good for a cassette, and now I find it here on YouTube. Thank you for the upload! When I listen to Burning Sensations it transports me via time machine back to my glory daze of 1983-1984! Thank you for the upload and thanks to the band Burning Sensations for being a musical part of my memory, part of my life. Thank you greatly!
