I split these ocean waves
I carved a path right through you!
The sea has washed away
Discarded! memories!!
Searched the sea and you're not here, you're not here
In the sand we lay
You're not here now, you're not here
Drag down
Your final rest
(The ocean floor!!)
I'll never rest until you're found
And tidal drags down
BAAABBBY!! OH!! in solidarity
I've searched beneath the tide
Too many times
I've failed my bride
I've searched beneath the tide
Too many times
I've failed my bride
I have fought against the tide
Too many times I've felt this
Searched the sea and you're not here, you're not here
In the sand we lay
You're not here now, you're not here
Searched the sea and you're not here, and you're not here
(And now she's gone)
And now she's gone
(And now she's gone)
And now she's gone
Her bones in the sand
She said she knew it was time
Her bones in the sand
She said ahhh
She said she knew it was time
The lyrics to Bury Tomorrow's song "Her Bones In The Sand" are very poignant and heart-wrenching. The song seems to be about a person who has lost their loved one to the sea, and is now desperately searching for them. The opening lines, "I split these ocean waves, I carved a path right through you" suggest someone fighting against the tide, trying to find their lost love. The line "Discarded! memories!!" is particularly jarring and emphasizes how the person feels their memories have been thrown away.
The chorus "In the sand we lay, You're not here now, you're not here" repeats throughout the song, almost like a mantra or a prayer. The use of repetition, mixed with the powerful vocals, really drives home the sense of loss and desperation that the singer is feeling. The final lines "Her bones in the sand, She said she knew it was time, She said ahhh, She said she knew it was time" seem to suggest that the lost loved one has passed away, and perhaps chose to end her own life. It's a really heartbreaking song that deals with themes of love, loss, and grief in a very moving way.

Years go by and I still love what you have done, guys. You've changed my life forever, entirely. Way across the globe. You are and will forever be the #1 band on this human being's personal ranking and soul, if it means something. It does for me, you can be sure about that!
Thank you for taking every little step, making every small decision that ultimately led to BT - including you Dan teaching Dav how to play a bass, lol.
The only thing I miss is Mehdi's sound a bit, but this is because I also love The Sleep Of The innocents era. Duwas does it amazingly since he came in!
Thank you. Thank you to each one of you, Bury Tomorrow. Thank you.
This is my love letter to you. Consider it the fan mail from ages past.
Yours sincerely, your edgelord listener from Argentina.
