We woke again to see the sun rise
When we were falling, falling from grace, did you catch us?
You never did, you never did
When we were falling, falling from grace, did you catch us?
You never did, you never did
We never asked you for your loyalty
It's all you offer me
To break the chains that have been holding us
We've been held down too long to be free
Oppressor
You're perched so high that you can't hear us
Oppressor
I see your lies for what they truly are
We've remembered how this should be done
We've foreseen how life can move on
With the feeling that we can push through, it all
As our shackles fall away, remembering the glory days
We will never stray away, to forget the everlasting pain
This is our moment
To break the hold we've always
Known
We've remembered how this should be done
We've foreseen how life can move on
With the feeling that we can push through, it all
As our shackles fall away, remembering the glory days
We will never stray away, to forget the everlasting pain
Oppressor
You're perched so high that you can't hear us
Oppressor
I see your lies for what they truly are
You said you were behind us but failed to see
At the end there's no time for defeat
Don't hold me back I feel full of belief
I am alive, we will not die
We will not die
When we were falling, falling from grace, did you catch us?
You never did, you never did
When we were falling, falling from grace, did you catch us?
You never did, you never did
The lyrics of Bury Tomorrow's song "Of Glory" speak to the struggles and triumphs of overcoming oppression and finding strength in oneself. The first two lines set the scene for the rest of the song, acknowledging the beauty of a new day and the fact that the band and their listeners are alive, taking on the challenges that come with each new morning. The repeated refrain "When we were falling, falling from grace, did you catch us? You never did, you never did" speaks to a sense of being let down by those who were supposed to support us in times of difficulty.
As the song progresses, we see a shift in the narrative, as the band members and their listeners realize that they don't need anyone else's loyalty or support to break free from the chains of oppression. They recognize that their oppressor is "perched so high that you can't hear us" and that they alone have the power to push through and overcome their struggles. The lines "We've remembered how this should be done, we've foreseen how life can move on" speak to the power of resilience and perseverance, and the idea that even in the darkest of times, we can find a way forward.
Ultimately, "Of Glory" is a call to action, encouraging listeners to break free from the hold of their oppressors and take charge of their own lives. The final lines "Don't hold me back I feel full of belief, I am alive, we will not die" speak to a feeling of empowerment and the belief that even in the face of adversity, we can find a way to thrive.

We have been oppressed for too long

Finally! Something decent in the metalcore scene again! Oh and +1 for the non-generic breakdown.

Check out Bleed From Within...I have been following these two bands closely for a few months and they both keep putting out amazing songs. Bleed From Within has some particularly spicy breakdowns. Check out Afterlife by them if you haven't heard it. It has strong older All That Remains and Parkway Drive vibes if you are into that.

This isn't music anymore. This is love. Seems to be the best BT album and the best metalcore album so far. #btarmy

Sorry but the best metalcore album is Deliver Us from Darkest Hour, and it's one of the best albums to come in 2000's, but I agree with you that this may be the best BT album.
